Woke up this morning to my little man saying "Luff eww" ... Then gave me cuddle That's enough for me!
Joey.............. I would give a lot to have my Dad with me this fathers day, unfortunately he has gone now. It is not a pointless day although I will agree about the cards there is no need for them. My father was special to me as he was to all my brothers and sisters. When he was alive we all would honor him on his birthday and Fathers day. Nothing major just something to remind him (not that he needed reminding) that he was special to us. It was the kind of relationship we had, perhaps we were fortunate. It was nice though to show him how we felt on special days like today........
I was never brought in what I used to think was a "normal family" .. was adopted at 2 Years old. So Fathers Days ...is a day I think boy oh boy I was one of the lucky ones that got picked! There is only one Dad I had... Love him to bits!
The last two posts show that, although it was probably a sales gimmick, to begin with, people can make it into something special. I have a tear in my eye right now.
So sad that Pompey fans don't have Dads. Sorry, admire your sentiment but you really shouldn't give Saints fans an opening like that
Fran. I was moved by some of the quotes on here that's all. They made me think about my family, and how they are more important to me, than silly old football. I wasn't making a joke for once! Which probably confused you I guess! No hard feelings
