I think Sunderland will stay up this season. Think it'll be tight but you'll do it. Just a hunch.

What's happened to that South Korean lad?

How's the season going now you've got a super new manager? You out of the relegation zone yet?

That smugc**t thinks he is better than everyone else and constantly puts Hull as a team and Hull as a city.

It has stopped me going on your board because of his bulls**t. Also they all seem to agree with him as if they dont have a mind of their own

Sunderland fans have a MASSIVE chip on their shoulder regarding Bruce. I'm embarrassed for them.

How many managers now since Bruce went, 3 is it? It's going so well for them.

Bruce had a good squad there and led them to their highest finish. Then Henderson and Bent both left in the same transfer window, Welbeck went back to Man Utd and Gyan f**ked off to the middle east somewhere. Stuff out of his control. You can hardly blame him that you struggled a bit after those players left.

And now he's gone, you still try and belittle him and us, despite him leading us to promotion in his first season and now we're mid table in the Premier League whilst you're clawing away at the bottom.... Again.

He's gone. Get over it. Let it go.

We've been playing good recently but we're dropping points at home to the likes of Villa and Norwich which is the problem but I do think we'll just get out of it, the result at Fulham was excellent and we've got a good chance to build on it with two back to back home games.

Ji just wasn't good enough unfortunately, he played for Augsburg on loan last season (which is where he's gone to today) and he was decent apparently but he just didn't seem to do it for us. Good luck to him in the Budesliga though.

Mackem here. We're not all like the op. Bruce is doing a good job for Hull. I would of liked us to have look into signing Shane Long. Good player. Although were playing a very different style of football now so I am not sure Shane Long would have suited it. Di Canio was a nutter ... a very poor appointment by the owner/chairman. At Sunderland Bruce did start really well. Yes we finished 10th but that was on the last day of the season and there were only 2 points between finishing 16th and 9th. We also went 14 games without a win and some of the poorest football I have seen. His win percentage as a manager with us was 29.59%. Really poor which ultimately led to his sacking. Really happy with Poyet and hope short backs him so he can buy his type of player to help keep us up. He had his hands tied a Brighton so could only take them so far.

If Poyet is 50 times better than Bruce then if we finish the season on 40 points your team should get.. wait for it.. 2,000 points..

I agree with the point about Mannone ;)

Sunderland supporters compare themselves to Newcastle as would Celtic compare themselves to Rangers. The real gripe you all have against Bruce is the fact that he was a Newcastle supporter. However the rest of the football world sees you more in common with Middlesborough than Newcastle, and fully expects you to be battling near the bottom of the Premier League when you're in it, or the top half of the Championship.

Bruce is a great Manager but he can't perform miracles. You weren't a top half Premier League team when he took you over. It would seem that Sunderland is usually the place where Managers with decent reputations go to get those reputations destroyed (Martin O Neill etc).

Ive said this before but if we finish midtable Bruce deserves to be on the short list for Manager of the Season. There is no one I would rather have as our manger.

If anyone gets it above Brendan Rodgers or Roberto Martinez it'll be the biggest shock in the history of the award.

Maybe but a 10th place Hull City AFC is a far better acomplishment than either of the two of them will manage this season.

You've had 3 managers spending millions between them and you're complaining that non of them changed the spine of the team that Bruce had put in place, yet this spine of the team are still in the PL. Why hasn't Poyet bought a new spine for your team this month, or is this still on the cards?

Not if Liverpool win the league.

Bruce won't win Manager Of The Season, but he should be on the shortlist if we do finish at least 12th.

I suppose we could debate it but just about everyone had us going down this season. Most of the "experts" had us finishing 20th. I figured Liverpool would finish around 4th. 4th to 1st place seems less impressive than 20th to 10th place. When you got the players Liverpool have a title run is always a possibility.

I agree, but I bet the odds on Liverpool winning the league were higher than our odds to stay up.

Bent, Mignolet, Sessegnon, and others were all class Bruce signings at Sunderland. This is all just bullshit.
