It was 25 for 16-22 year olds. Is it the Allams fault kids stay on at school instead of getting a job at 16 too?
There's a block of seats on the north west corner which don't often sell. Put a load of school kids and their parents/teachers there. Two seasons back, Hull FC put ourselves and another Primary School in these seats free of charge after a finishing top 2 in a rugby tournament earlier in the week. It didn't cost them anything to put us there as the kids are self managed/safe guarded and they made a little bit of extra money on hotdogs and drinks. City could give a batch of say 50 tickets to two-four schools each game in these seats. Hooks kids for the future, doesn't need extra stewarding and a little bit of money made on merchandise and food/drink. Like Filey says, there are a lot of kids who simply can't afford to be taken to a game by their folks.
I'm a plumber and I won't get out of bed for £350 a week, joking, but it's about £14 an hour JIB rates for a plumber, bit more with gas qualifications
I really don't think that is necessary for example the season ticket price of a 16-22 ticket is brilliant value compared to the adults and unfortunately for me this is my last year in that category. Surely there is a point you can't go below, and £25 a ticket for a 16-22 year old isn't exactly a bad price.
Not everyone has/wants/needs a season pass. But this is the most important game of the season. Stuff money, business plans etc. Fill the stadium and create a racket.
In the past the club have sold tickets through the boys league, thereby increasing the gate , increasing the noise and getting the next generation involved. Another couple of seasons in the Prem will alow us to ensure we've got alot of the youth support coming through.
I think 16-22 is probably too wide of an age bracket to be honest - I've got another season in that category so I'll have been finished uni and working full time for 3 years by the end, my financial situation is massively different to a kid just fresh out of school. I think 16-18 a bit more expensive than a kids ticket then student discounts would be fair rather than having one category for all 'young adults'
I find the younger element to be more vocal and supportive so can't we extend the discount to 16-25 and push the OAP discount up to 70+ because flasker support is ****ing ****.
Chazz, out of interest, how far would the attendance have to drop for you to consider the pricing to be a mistake?
We've talked about this before. We agreed too high and too low. i'd go for 20 30 and 50 (**** em). I've just looked on Swansea's. They dont do up to 22 like we do. or the under 10's. So again ours isnt too bad. The attendance is dropping cos this city doesnt really give a ****. They had the money in an instant for Wembley. Not since. 2014-15 season All Premier League games will now be priced as either Category A or Category B games. Category A games are priced at £45 adult and £22.50 concessions (Over-60, U16 and student). They include the fixtures against Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs. Category B games will remain priced at £35 adult and £17.50 concessions (Over-60, U16 and student). Read more at http://www.swanseacity.net/tickets/matchday_prices/index.aspx#XyJieEocrZFDKFVS.99
I didn't actually mean our general pricing, I'd agree with you on those. I was just talking specifically about the pricing for a winter Tuesday night game against an under-performing Villa side, which is what this thread was about. You seem to be suggesting that it doesn't matter if this is a Cat B or a Cat C game, I think it matters a lot, I think we'll probably have our lowest attendance of the season in a game we really need to win, do you not think that's a mistake?
I dont think it would make any difference. no one came to WBA at 16 quid. I agree for this game if we could give em away to schools it would be better. But we cant do that I dont think??
