I turned on the TV just as it was half-time in the Women World Cup, Sweden v Italy. The pundits in the studio were talking continually about how good Italy were, they were losing 3-0, second half is 60 mins into the game, they are now losing 4-0. I'm sure the game will end 4-5 <whistle>

    Finished 5-0 to Sweden.

    France 2-1 Brazil

Panama v Jamaica next at 1.30pm on ITV4 or ITVX

Jamaica for complete underdogs looked impressive in their last game against France.

I know the women get a lot of stick, but Wendie Renard who wears the number 3 for France and their captain, scored the winner today and she could defo get in a mens team...

New Zealand one of the Hosts are out!

Drew 0-0 with the Swiss, but because Norway won in the other game (6-0), NZ needed to score, despite their efforts, possession and their keeper coming up numerous times in the 8 mins added time, they never looked like scoring in a million years lol. They had the enthusiasm but lacked any real strength.

    Shame the hosts are out.

Everyone will lose interest in the tournament now.

I've seen clips on the news now and then and the stadiums look empty.

The WSL seems to get bigger crowds so maybe the quality of football is better. I'd probably watch that before I watch the woman's world cup. Have to say though I've just got no interest to do that either.

To be honest with you, the first two games were so bad I couldn't be arsed, so was weighing up some of the teams with balls (excuse the pun) and both of those came from group F, who play tomorrow, Jamaica and number 3 for France. France have an easy game against Panama, Jamaica though have got Brazil, it KO at 11pm on ITV, so will try and watch it, depending on mood. I hasten to add, I've not seen that many games, the early morning KO's are too much to be bothered.

Jamaica v Brazil on now (ITV) - Jamaica only need to draw to go through, I hope they make it. Although France are currently losing in the same group so potentially Jamaica and Brazil could both go through (GD) with a draw. But I'm not sure Panama will hold onto their lead against France.
