In your case, wanting a defined policy I can see what you're saying. We maybe need to look at having some set system in place for when action is taken beyond just tidying things up, but it would have to be something that applied in all cases not just for racism. The rest of the complaint that's being made (ie by others) reads as though we're not doing anything but it can't be shown to us because we have actually done something, and that we shouldn't allow things on the board but we also shouldn't remove them as that's protecting the poster.
On the other hand , I would like to see a clear policy in place which would see a warning given for bogus and spurious accusations of racist comments.If the poster can't back up his accusations, it would lead to a ban. On poster in particular has made false accusations, not backed them up when challenged to do so and besmirched this board with his screeching obsession. Posters such as these spoil this board and lead to a reduction in posters, as well as a decline in the quality of discussion. I hope the moderators have noted the I.D.s of those hellbent on imposing their own agendas onto this Hull City forum, and who seem determined to wreck it with catty name-calling and bitchy threads.
I am in favour of open, honest debate, I'm not personally offended by any comments whether they be facist, neo-conservatist, communist, Marxist, Marxist-Leninist, Trotskyist, Kemalist, Multiculturalist, Blairist, Thatcherist, Feminist, anti-femininist, post-modern industrialist, nihilist, anarchist, theist, deist, atheist, agnostic, humanist, expansionist, protectionist, sadist, masochist, sodomist, fetishist.. Ok you know what I'm saying.. Don't like racists although I would argue Islamophobia is a false premise and is not directed againt a people or race - rather a religion. Posters such as Erik don't offend me personally, although I can understand why they would some. I am a supporter of the US 1st Ammendment, free speech, Thomas Payne, John Locke. Keep it simple, keep it fair.
Well said. Far better than I could have said, but I'm of the same vein. What offends me is ignorance, bigotry and uneducated arguments. I come here for the football chat though unlike a number of regular posters on here.
