Not having any responsibility over the maintenance of the site etc, I'm almost as in the dark as you are. I can see that the vast array of problems have been reported, and are being discussed, but I don't know how or when things might be fixed.

I'm just as frustrated as you. Hopefully it will be sorted soon!

Thanks for the reply , appreciate it is a Site problem , just wanted an answer from a mod , thanks again .
 
Haven't been able to even access this site for the last half hour or so until now.
 
Apparently the site owner has not been around recently to deal with it. Sometimes the site works fine and then will be unusable for half an hour. Not much else we can do, hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Or we could all jump ship. And I could be the captain of the new ship because I thought of the idea.
 
Another forum I use had these kinds of problems. They've since switched forum software to Xenforo. It's been much better since.

Yeah, I'm not an expert by any stretch but the behaviour suggests that something is causing the database to go berserk...it isn't outright denying connections, and posts are being created, they simply do not register in-thread until the back-end catches up. It's probably traffic-related; too many people causes too many fetch attempts causes mayhem, but it also doesn't look as simple as the server getting overloaded, because that's more likely to bring the whole thing to a dead halt.
