Just read that Uncle Tone is over on Thursday for an award dinner (BT media or something). The club is up for an award for "Game for Grenville".....and of course it is our last home match of the season on Saturday.

Last Friday was the last day for objections to Warren Farm, we have heard nothing...good or bad. (If I was an objector and had put in another spike into our wheels I would be gloating about it)...so I am going to assume it is good news.
I just wonder if the club will make an announcement this week with Uncle Tone, Lee Hoos, Sir Les all in builders hats and dayglo jackets digging up the ground on our new training ground. Is that what Tone meant when he said it is an exciting summer.

Yes I live on fantasy island too

It looks like it will go ahead despite the motley crew of NIMBY's best efforts.
Since the players spend 90% or so of their week there, it does seem a very solid statement of intent to take the club forward.
I like it on Fantasy island!

Whatever will happen will happen but TF uses everything he can to spin anything we know that

Dreaded reading the excuses of why it took so long ... most club’s academy are build and trading we will clearly just be catching up

The vision of rasing and selling young British players is a myth in any case 1 in 10,000 I am guessing will make it to get rejected at the top level so we maybe producing players for the lower leagues ... some industry

Is there a serious player in England that would make a world 11 not a chance

Excuses? No - reality.

There's a legal process to go through, and the locals opposed to the plans exhausted every possible avenue in delaying and frustrating the club. Nothing could get started until the final legal challenge permissible had been dismissed. The deadline for raising that final objection has just passed with no known activity, and so we can assume now that the permission, given in 2016, can now be actioned and work started.

That's not 'excuses', or 'inaction' - it's how planning law works.

Ealing Council are also opposing their latest attempts to delay our training ground development.

This has gone through many stages, and the Supreme court is the final one open to residents. bear in mind they also waited to the last possible moment to submit their appeal, this is a sign that they are delaying in hope rather than acting on anything substantial. If that were the case, the appeal would have gone in earlier.

It's likely desperation on their part, and frustrating for us. But I doubt the outcome will change.
