Seeing this thread made me remember about my team! Just had to play my wild card due to the amount of injuries and poor form from some players. Still mid-table which ain't too bad I suppose.
I keep being undone by players that're usually good for a fair share of points (Etherington, Brunt, Larsson) grossly underperforming, and the seeming inability for any team I've picked defenders for to keep a clean sheet (or, if they do, my player isn't playing...)
They will come good, these type of players always do....as soon as you transfer them out!..............31 games left so plenty time to climb the table. I checked my team a few weeks back and i was about 100 points off the leader, now only 11!
I ditched Brunt for Pienaar and started picking up points - but keep scoring just below the average due to the inability for any of my defenders to play for a team that keeps a clean sheet.
Oh yeah - well worth a bump. My Pets Win Prizes team has plummeted to 9th. Shocking weekend and only had ten players play. Plus Bale as captain only, unlike you Boss, my vice captain was a bit of a left-field choice this week: Wayne Routledge. Would've looked genius if it had worked...
ha ha routledge as captain, i admire your left-field thinking! now you're left with the Bale Or Routledge decision this weekend? the type of decision which would leave fantasy football managers struggling to sleep...
Well you see Routledge has got decent points every other home game this season (I think). Been a steady point-getter. And I didn't fancy backing any of my Chelsea contingent. No - there will be no Bale/Routledge dilemma in my mind this week. I hope.
Aye, he has been in great form, same as Dyer (who I have in my team), my dilemma this week, is Lambert or Crouch as if I was a rival fan, I would fancy Lambert to cause us problems.
