I'm doing some writing on a football based project, and I want to make reference to the famous fans united game in 1997. Can anyone tell me any or all of the following:
- What your average attendance was that season for 'normal' matches?
- What was your attendance for the Fans United game?
- Were there any clubs whose fans were notable in their support of the concept? I read somewhere that some Eintracht Franfurt fans turned up. Was there representation from any clubs who traditionally regard Brighton as the enemy (or who you traditionally regard in that way)?
- If anyone has any quotes from non-Brighton fans who turned up about their motivation, that would be the icing on the cake!
