I'm prepared to take as I find and judge somebody more by what they do rather than what they say. To date, I suspect Fernandes feels just as disappointed and let down by the last 6+ months as the rest of us. He probably feels not a little embarrassed by his naïveté and over exuberance on Twitter. But the behind the scenes moves to develop the brand, secure new training facilities and locate a new stadium are all serious moves to advance our little club and recover significant ground lost over the last 15+ years. If he delivers on these then we should be grateful. If he moderates his use of social media and lets Mr Redknapp go about the "front of shop" work then it'll work out better for him. Peculiar article, by the way.
You only have to look at how Harry handles the press to know that he plays them like a fiddle, you couldn't have a better person for handling that side of things and whether we stay up or not, Harry will be just the man to get us back. Fernandes knows this and that's why Harry has been given the two and a half year deal. TF has already said what a good manager Harry is and he sacked MH in case we missed out on him, that speaks volumes...
I agree with you. All this cr*p about players only being here for the money is the biggest load of b*ll*x most repeated on here I ever heard on here. Anyone in employment is there for the money, just like players, so what. Some just enjoy working, playing more than others, but what they earn is irrelevant to how they perform. It is not really their fault if Chairmen choose to pay them too much.

I have no problem with players being paid well but the least that we as fans should expect from them is that they give 100%. I used to play 5 a side and had huge pride in how I played while also had a competitive streak driving me on. Same in my current job. Watching Granero yesterday was depressing. The sooner he fcuks off out of our club the better.
Well for starters they should stop being so limp wristed and tell the truth about the current squad. They should stop defending these shameless fakes. Why they would continue to make excuses for these people who openly make them look like a bunch miserable vassals is beyond me. I can't understand that disposition. Maybe some people just like feeling second rate. Maybe psychologically, in a strange way, they like being subservient to people they believe to be of a superior caste? You make some good suggestions there yourself. The "you're only here for the money" song that reverberated around LR during the Saints game should be sang with gusto if our next game against West Brom goes the same way as yesterday. A demo is a great idea. If anyone is interested in helping organise one for the new year, count me in. I'll help in whatever way I can and I'll be at whatever game we decide to demonstrate at. Banners and signs can be printed up and songs and chants agreed upon. Perhaps some could dress up as "robbers" in balaclavas or in that black and white bee-striped garb. We could make a real spectacle and leave the players in no doubt as to what we think of them. I don't think it should be directed at the Board however. Okay, Fernandes was strung along and has been made look like a fool but he was only doing what he thought was right. He's been made look like a naive idiot and presumably has spent a lot of his money so he's been punished enough. A well attended, organised demonstration against the players would send out a clear message. Would it be the first ever protest against players rather than the Board? We could be making history! Good thinking Staines. If anyone is interested, please respond to this or PM me. As for tearing up season tickets well, far be it for me to tell people that have spent upwards of a grand on them to rip them up!! That would be entirely up to the individual. I certainly wouldn't blame a guy if he did this. One things for sure, this situation cannot continue.
That we all only go to work for the money is largely true, Oslo. Money is always a short-term motivator; rises in pay are welcome and give us all a lift, particularly when your working circumstances are unsatisfactory. But within no time at all, all the ingredients that make work ****e return and the money no longer sufficiently sweetens things. But to say that what players earn is irrelevant to how they perform, well, as a manager, I'd have to disagree most strongly. If you pay somebody top dollar then it is reasonable to expect a top dollar performance from them, surely? In other walks of life non-performing employees are swiftly shown the door, or at least should be if employment legislation and unionisation doesn't get in the way. I can only hope that Mr Redknapp does the same with those in the Rs squad. It is fair and reasonable that professional footballers should have some employment or contractual protections, but something needs done to protect clubs from some of these journeymen still dining out on ever distant glories.
He's off to Jakarta, Indonesia won't extradite to Malaysia for anything but terrorism and then rarely.
Thank you for summarising it so succinctly for me, Imaz. I've read it three times now and it seems more obsessed with Mr Fernandes' reproductive prowess.
Every article he posts up is "peculiar". Did you see the last one about Communist Islamists?!! God knows where he digs this sh*te up from.
Sexual prowess is a big thing in Indonesia. Every other bus has a massive advert on it for the local "viagra" with a smiling grandad showing how it makes all his life just wonderful. "Sunny Zang Wang Xiong Ying Kapsul", with a name like that...
Exactly, that was my point!! I was referring to an article you put up that was attacking gays and was from a very far left website. Like Uber said: "Peculiar"
Never read the opening speach but going on the **** comments here last night by many I'd say your wasting your time asking a bunch of thankless ****ers to follow a great little team.
Im not doubting your passion Swords but personally i dont think a demo or anything like that is the answer, and to be honest, i havn't got an answer myself. Yeah you're probably right and there are a fair few playing for us at the moment who are only here for a big pay day, but doesn't that happen at a lot of clubs ?? Are we that different 'cos we seem to have more than a few like that ? I for one wont be getting involved in any protest and definately wont be ripping up my season ticket (I love the club too much and don't think it's the answer). Maybe i'm one of those deluded ones who think things will eventually be alright and we will stay up....but one thing that is for sure is that i've supported QPR FC through some very bad times in the past and i will continue to support the CLUB, whoever plays in our colours....mercenary or not. (sorry if this reply is a bit ragged but getting busy at work and wanted to give some kind of reply before i forgot)
I understand what Swords is saying, in part, although I see no reason to attack QPR fans who are supporting the players. I think most of us know which players are here for the money and nothing else. I am getting a little tired of our club being laughed at though. We never seem to get it right. Again on Sunday Supplement, the club and Fernandes in particular was ripped apart. It's hard to argue with most of what was being said too. Tony has been so naive that it beggars belief imo. Sure, he was terribly taken advantage of by Hughes and his contacts, but surely TF, with all his business experience should have been more aware of what was going on? Beard must take some responsibility too. Not sure how pleased Tony will be with Harry for pointing out his short-comings, but I hope and pray that Tony has learned his lesson!! I think Harry will suss out all the mercenaries and will get the remaining players and any new additions playing for the shirt....could be too little too late though and we could be paying for this debacle for years to come!
