I meant the Boston in Lincolnshire mexijan, can't blame the yanks for everything,on second thoughts why not they didn't improve Paul Mariner's football management skills very much. Although I still dream of the Paul Mariner and Billy Rafferty goal scoring partnership, now couldn't we have done with that last season...........on second thoughts any season.
Brent stated that he was prepared to help the club, he did mention he would look to seek council permission for some project or another. I think it was his genuine (sounding) interest in Plymouth and its need for a football club that could sustain itself and still be successful that spoke to most Pilgrims. I know I was thinking: "Yes, that is what we wanted all along."
Ridsdale sounds genuine when he speaks. Everyone says he s a good talker and persuasive. I don't know Brent from Adam so all I can do is accept him at face value as with all the other possibly interested parties. One thing life has taught me though is business people seldom do something for nothing. I think that whoever came in for Argyle would have strings attached and one eye on some gain for their business. I don't blame them for that having said it. Why would you simply commit great wedges of your hard earned to a football club unless as I have said previously, you have so much cash it is just an ego trip and would not cripple you even if it went belly up. Some of the people involved now make Dan MaCauley seem like the Arch Angel Gabrial.
