Im not apologising. I left a couple of mins early to get back to the station to catch the 3-30 London train!
I have never been bothered at all with people leaving early, as it always made my departure from the ground a whole lot easier when i finally left.
If you're in Walton Street car park, and on a tight time schedule with post match plans, I do. But then just don't go in Walton Street in the first place. Also some away grounds it makes sense anarl. Birmingham City, Villa, Wolves for starters, it really can save you about an hour by getting out 5 minutes early.
For me there is no point in leaving early. I usually stay for a good 5 minutes after the whistle has gone because I know the gates to the North Stand will be closed to protect me from violent away supporters. It took an age for the gates to open against Newcastle United so maybe those in E1 and E2 expected the same thing to happen with the Manchester City supporters and left before the gates shut.
Some people are such idiots, saying all the people with the flasks sit in the upper west is nonsense. Firstly we sit there, we sat in the South since the stadium opened but moved when it was made the family stand ( thought they might not like our language) West upper was the only place we could all get seats together. We are surrounded by some great people, who all do their share of shouting & don't have flasks. Give some thought to what you post.
