Lets leave aside opinions of CH for the moment, I think it is fair to say many fans are not happy. But our support at times has been quite poor. Not in terms of numbers, you can't fault that, but actually support for the team has been poor at times. Booing the manager and players during a match doesn't help anyone. People seem to think home records are generally so much better largely down to having the majority of fans on your side (I'm not so sure how true this is). So as a group of fans are we not doing ourselves a massive disservice by getting on the backs of the team and manager? It seems CH will be with us for the rest of the season, so would we not stand a better chance if they receive our full support?

One thing that should be of some concern is the players reaction to the lack of support. Several of them have had words with fans or voiced their displeasure in the media. Would some of our best players consider jumping ship due to this? I would hate to think fans could almost force out some of the better players such as Ruddy and Snodgrass because they are fed up of the negative attitude around the place.

I'm sure many of you will say it is all CH fault and if he was gone everyone would be happy.
 
If CH was gone tomorrow I'd feel a lot happier & more confident we might find the three points that might just scrape us home. But he's lost a huge percentage of the fans now and I don't see how it's possible for this support you ask for to happen while he's still in charge?
A change now before Fulham might just give the whole place a lift.
There's only so much a fan can take of paying to watch this amount of rubbish. It's not a case of not supporting the team it's knowing when something has to change.
If he's still manager on Monday I'll be amazed.

I'm more concerned that players may leave in part because of this. I don't ask for it. Essentially it is each individuals choice, so who am I to say if it is right or wrong? Was just wondering what impact people feel it has on the team? If it is a negative one maybe the booing and negative chants should be saved until after the match?

I think you will be amazed.
 
It`s only a game, if we go down we will not go bust and probably bounce back with the players that don`t jump ship.

Plus we have the World cup to look forward to ,we will almost certainly reach the semis at least.

I'm not to sure how many I'd like to retain after how they've performed this season.
Ruddy for sure but if we were to stay up the squad needs a major overhaul.
The strike force and midfield just haven't worked out, there's huge questions over the defense as well.
So in answer to your question other than Ruddy I wouldn't lose to much sleep over the rest.

Interesting thoughts. I think the squad is one of our strongest ever and it's the manager that is the problem. For me the only ones I'd let go and look for an upgrade on are:
(1) Whittaker
(2) Hoolahan (because I think he wants out)
(3) Elmander
(4) Becchio
(5) Gutierrez


Maybe a new centre half, though I think Yobo is decent.
 
We have good enough players to stay up , we just need to select the right ones and ask them to do things a bit differently.

I can take no more - that's why i am not renewing my season ticket. My little lad is nearly two and I have come to the conclusion that I would rather spend more time with him than watch the dearth that we have been served up this season.

I take your point though tipsy because at times the atmosphere has been poisonous and I agree that it will rub off onto the players. Whatever they do now will not be good enough for some people. People were booing early in the first half some misplaced passes. Wes looked completely lost and had his body language was head down and when the atmosphere has that critical feel players will go missing because they fear every pass they make - no matter how easy.

It's reached the point of no coming back now. If the players refund the match ticket costs like last week it is a PR stunt, if the players do the slightest thing wrong it will be Hughton's fault no matter what. We are doomed unless we can manage to sneak a 1-0 away win at our bogey team next week. If Fulham win that we have no hope what so ever.

I'm not excusing Hughton - his negative mindset and inability to coach the supply lines to provide the strikers with decent service has turned my fortnightly trip to a city match as an exercise that must be completed instead of something to look forwards to and enjoy. I just do not agree with the way we play football right now. It is boring, negative and just isn't the Norwich way :-(
