Effectively what has happened. The event has been cancelled as the club have stuck to their guns over the Jean Huelin ban. Another classic own goal by the club. I wonder if a look at the terraces will show them how popular this will be if they go it alone. Another side issue is that this was discussed at the fans forum and shot down, but the SMT have pushed ahead anyway. So much for consultation.
Well done to all the fans who have stuck to their guns. Only East Kent Addicks supported the club in this one. If Roland does sell up he'll go down with all guns blazing.
It seems like Jean Huelin has sent a bitchy e mail about key club figures, which was then mistakenly forwarded to the Club. Either way, for the first time in living memory this utterly dysfunctional, basket case of a Club won't be having a POTY ceremony between fans and players.

If I were KM and this fanny woman wrote an e mail slagging me off and mistakenly sent it to me I'd of told her to bog off too and to forget about being on the organising committee of the POTY do .
Actually I sort of agree with that @Miketyson2007 but look at the job Katrien has done on us. Besides, it's not a club function so Katrien should have no say in it. For me, the bottom line is Fanny is a fan of long standing who has organised this for years. Katrien is a useless muppet who is bringing the club to it's knees. Let Katrien organise it in the nearest brewery and see who turns up.
Much as I find myself in rare agreement with Huelin and Wallis on this issue, I can't see how they can win. The players are club employees and thus will need Meire's permission to attend an alternative event. Frankly the fans should be focusing their efforts now on issues bigger than whether Fanny gets her ego stroked by Johnnie Jackson and Ben Hayes on the night. The bottom line is we are 14th in Div 3 and have we actually GOT a POTY this season ?? I would suggest not.

Because they could not organise a pi55-up in a brewery is the right answer, and as far as I'd be concerned I wouldn't have anything to do with the anniv. event. No. Hyper senditive reaction from the SMT. Maybe they arrange a really spectavular pi55 up in a brewey, but they have spectaculsrly failed to do anything right at Charlton. Roland rumoured to be wanting to sell now because his project has failed. Which makes JH right. Looking forward to the invite to the new revampef POTT with bouncy castles, face painting and games. Roger Johnson to organise the thing as he has time on his hands.
Fanny herself has posted a blow-by-blow account of how the CEO managed to blow the POTY dinner out of the water. Her accusation that Fanny had "disrespected the club" I find particularly unbelievable, the kind of hypocrisy that Odious Addick would probably admire. If you read her post on the POTY dinner-cancelled thread you'll see what I mean.
The Fanny thread on CL has become a bit cringeworthy to be honest. Jean Huelin may undoubtedly be a good fan but she is so self regarding.
