So you reckon we should have meetings where we get everything we ask for ? Is that how it works in your world ?
The West Lower has all been sold as season tickets, so is the only part of the ground you can't buy match day tickets, can't you walk down from the West Upper at half time?
Do you really think thats what he means ? How about the hashtag ? Is that a realistic , popular and easy to implement thing ? How much effort would it take and how much goodwill would that show to the fans ?
Can you suggest #hullcity as a compromise? It has to be better than sharing one with Huddersfield Town. I know #UTT is to match the programme, but you'd have thought somebody in the marketing department would have done a quick search before plastering it over everything. Also how often does Allam go on twitter anyway?
I was going to say that, I'm sure you can go from Upper to Lower concourses without issue? Sympathise with the poster of course.
I know the clud has moved to BB, and financially wise it makes sense as a lot of the facilities were already in place.....but I wonder if they ever considered Sydney Smith School?
Never been in West Upper so wasn't aware that was possible - always assumed they were completely detached due to the separate entrances. Thanks for the info, though I feel like a bit of an idiot now.
I'm not sure if you're supposed to, but I've certainly had mates in the West Upper come down and meet me for a pint at half time in the past. The West Upper and Lower both exit through the same stairwells, so if you just walk half way down, you should be able to walk straight through the door onto the West Lower concourse.
There's only actually been one meeting of the new Fan Working Group, I think it's a little early to be writing it off.
Any developments on the Fans Park ? I was looking forward to a drop of mulled wine before the Swansea game.
The meeting on 2nd December is being chaired by someone from the commercial dept so there will likely be lots of discussion on that aspect of the club. James Mooney has promised to update points raised at the last meeting so the twitter hashtag will definitely be talked about, although I got the impression that we are stuck with UTT until next season at least, and he didn't show much desire to use two hashtags. The thing that should have been dealt with is the prices for disabled fans but I'm not holding my breath.
Actually. Seriously. I thought someone from this forum was invited along to represent this forum? Is that no longer the case? I do NOT want to be represented by CTWD. They are NOT the voice of the common fan. This thread stinks. Yes, I know the tenuous reasons that will be given for it. Show us all some respect and get the recognition and support you clearly need without hijacking and hoodwinking forums like this. Just to be clear, you are not our representatives.
Can you ask when Steve Bruce is going to get the sack? Also can you ask the address and to which tyrant I should send my CV for the opening once it's available.
Yeah, but then you don't speak for all the fans either, just yourself. If you don't want to be represented, then fine, go sit in as a seperate party. I'm glad we've finally knocked Caravan of Love on the head, it was just awful. My question is this: Are the club ever going to look at properly utilising links to local sides? By this I mean not just teams like Ferriby, Hall Road and Scarborough, but also teams such as Scunny, York and Grimsby? If we want our youth to develop, they should really be playing at a decent level of competition, not slumming it against Gateshead's 2nd XI. I'm aware that the club are trying to remedy this in the near future, but in the mean time, can we not strike up deals with local clubs that can benefit both sides? Scunny play in League 1, York in League 2, Grimsby in the Conference and Ferriby in the Conference North. It means that players at different stages of development can get out and play decent amounts of games and at least train in a first team environment that suits their skill level. I saw that Joe Cracknell has just gone back to Scarborough on loan, but is that really the highest level he could have gone to? We're talking about our most senior youth keeper (if that makes sense), were there not teams higher than Level 8 in the football league pyramid he could have signed for? Could we do more to get our youngsters/reserve players more first team football, perhaps even strike up a deal with a Scandanavian/Benelux country so that youngsters from both clubs can use both facilities and we can have first rights to their youth prospects (a bit like Ajax do with Trencin) and they can loan our players across. It'd be a good way to give the youth some travelling experience, while also giving decent prospects from abroad the chance to come and train with us.
You're best taking this up with the club and/or James Mooney. He's the one who organised the meetings and gave the invites.
How often does that actually happen in real life rather than on Football Manager? If it was even semi-common surely teams like Bury, Macc Town and Stockport would be overrun with players from the big clubs around them?
Loads of bigger clubs have smaller teams that they loan clubs to; Manchester United do it with Royal Antwerp, Chelsea have Vitesse in Holland, Manchester City have literally ****loads of them. Their youth are getting competitive experience at a decent level and as such work their way up, so that if they don't make it at their parent club, they still go on to have decent careers at a high level. Arsenal have loaned out seven of their players to various other London clubs, only one of which plays at a lower level than Ferriby does. Granted we don't have as many clubs around us as London clubs, but we should at least be using what we have so that our youngsters are getting the best possible crack at being footballers.
We should be loaning out our players to whichever club offers the best opportunity for the development of that player, geography should play little, if any, part in that decision.
Rest assured that I had no intention of representing you anywhere, in fact, most places I go I'd deny even knowing you existed. Hope this helps. <****ersmiley>
