Ahhh… I used to go to Coteford school in Fore St., remember the American base at the end of the road way back. Ruislip woods was a regular place to scope out. Black Horse PH was often used much later on around mid-70’s. We lived on the road that led to Highgrove Swimming Pool where my father used to work (there and Ruislip Lido and also Uxbridge outdoor pool - which was my first job as a lifeguard out of school).
I learned to swim (badly) at Highgrove Swimming Pool. Late sixties. Not a skill I use often.

South Park Grove near the Berrylands ... Declan Rice lived across the road.
Yeh, yeh. T‘other side of the A3. I guess we were classed as Old Malden. Half way between Malden Manor and Worcester Park train stations which was always handy for commuting (which I did very little of to be fair).

I did a search and the thread is not accessible ... it's too far back ... 2011? You left out Leamington Spa!

Me ... Shepherds Bush , Fulham, New Malden, Esher.
Also missed out Durham, Crouch End, Hong Kong, Archway, Milan, Retford (big mistake) and Kenilworth. Bit of a nomad. Still want to be back in London before I’m too knackered to enjoy it….still home.

I think we moved there about 68/69, I was lucky enough to have it as my private training pool :emoticon-0102-bigsm (Father was my coach for my sins, training at 6:30 most days before school; weekly runs out to Eastcote High Street back around to Eastcote Road and in to the pool for a swim session wtf). Then in the evening wouldswim with the Ruislip & Northwood SC. Barmy stuff!! Rose tinted glasses remind me I they were good times :emoticon-0136-giggl.
Nice pool though. Also did diving with Hal Williams, US coach for a bit of fun too.

Our place is almost opposite Coteford junior school. My kids all went there, and then to Haydon at the top of the road.

The American base, which is now housing, was formerly RAF Eastcote and was the first site for GCHQ before it moved to Cheltenham.
