There is a certain "class" of people at the FA and Liverpool is a working class city and there is certainly class distinction in the UK and derision born of those distinctions. Not just in football but also in football.

Boris and his comments are a perfect example. I've even seen it posted on the manc board, some corporate type paints Liverpool's people with one brush in a generalised pretentious sweeping comment about employment and education and this from a supposed educated person.

it is not beyond those at the FA to include Liverpool FC in this view. I do not state it as fact but rather see it as likely. Therefor it is reasonable to suspect this happens at the FA, this I would see as an issue rather than the FA screwing Liverpool over for the sake of manchester United or Fergie as it were but just because it's run by elitist folk who easily look down on others and think they are better.

Of course I expect a certain poster to reply with "bollox" or "incomprehensible" and so on but what I refer to exists in every day life, within every company, within every aspect of day to day social life.

Stereotypes also exist, I have read recently the "French" referred to as a single entity, which is a perfect example of a stereotype that exists and has so for a long time even though that country has gone through more change than Britain and is far more socially honest, if they don;t like something they say they do not like it unlike in Britain and Ireland where publicly they say the PC thing and in private they express their true beliefs.

This stereotyping extends to the dirty south American, greasy cheating Portuguese and Spanish. You only have to look at how it is so easy to slate these foreign players as snide and cheats and this is clearly apparent in the lack of such comments about English players who have the same traits and there is no need to name any but there are many.

the media represent the view of most of the British public, it's why they exist and why they sell so well and why the BNP has far more support than it should have.

A fan buyout is a poor idea. You buy the club, then what? How do you pay the players? How do you decide who sits on the board of directors? How do you, as a fan, get your 5000 pounds worth of input to those running the club? You don't.

You have an appointed supporters trust group run things. But you have to trust them to do whats best for the club, only they don't have millions of pounds of their own money invested as a risk. So you hope your financial deals don't run dry before results match the sponsors expectations. And if you don't (which is likely given that we are a few years off of being a top club again)? Then the well runs dry, you go into administration, because you can't find 1 million fans to invest 500 pounds again, and your club is sold off at a fire-sale to the lowest bidder. Your shares are not close to being worth 500 pounds anymore, perhaps 100, and the new owners will buy them out forcefully.

Meanwhile the financial insecurity has translated to the pitch, with us relying on cheap free transfers and losing our top stars, which we couldn't afford.

So no thank you, I'll stick with FSG who lost 120m of their own money by listening to the public opinion in the first year at the club. They didn't give up on us then. I don't think they will now.

No, while he was still there too, especially when they gave you the CL spot in 2005 after they'd told both arsenal and Chelsea the year before in their CL qf that if either of them was to win the CL that year and come fifth in the league then the fourth placed team would be relegated to the then Uefa cup, as had happened to Zaragoza when Madrid won it in 2000 and came fifth.

Btw, read it again, i said banning the ENGLISH media, as in the Mail, Sun and so forth. <ok>
