Not when your chief exec is going around telling everyone that you're loaded and can splash the cash.

It's a loan, so his wage isn't going to decrease and I highly doubt Monaco are paying some of his wages for you.

    Fair enough <ok>

No I doubt he would have either. There's two things about a club outside the top 4 with money. Firstly there'll always be quality players around bcos the CL clubs simply can't buy them all. And second, money talks.

United have said they will pay him his Monaco wages so that he won't get more . Any more bitter comments? <laugh>

  4. I think Falcao is a great signing and (ignoring the money) I'd love him at Liverpool. However, I don't think he will get you top four. I think signing Vidal or someone similar would have given you a much better chance. You already have Rooney, RvP, Di Maria, Januzia and Mata so you didn't exactly lack goals. You lacked a midfield to create the chances and gain/maintain possession of the ball. A CB wouldn't have gone a miss either but then, that's just me not rating Evans, Smalling or Jones <laugh>

    I've already said he's a great player - that's a no brainer.

I'm just shocked Van Gaal and Woodward didn't strengthen other areas - your midfield is as light as a feather and your defence is top 6 at best.

I guess your tactics will be - we'll score more than you. A tactic we tried last season, but it didn't quite work out.

In all seriousness you've sort of become us of last year.

Lots of attacking ability in the forward areas.... bit of a **** midfield and defence though. Also you don't have any real decent squad depth after the main 13/14 players.

BREAKING: Radamel Falcao has failed his medical at Manchester United. [@9smudge] pic.twitter.com/oBlpzqqnNk

Some sources saying he hasn't failed. God knows.

  12. Yet on the other thread you were claiming we failed last season despite starting from a similar position <doh>

Finishing 2nd is deemed a failure by UIR <laugh>

Plus there is no way in a million years with your midfield and defense you'll get 2nd. 5th or 6th is more realistic - lets be honest here.

Hey it worked enough to comfortably get you top 4. I'll take that right now.

Although I disagree. The defence issue is overrated. We've been dodgy in defence for years IF someone has a go at us. The home defeats to you lot and City over the last 5 years are typical examples of that. But our game is about possession, counter attack and attacking wing play - just so teams don't think about having a go at us!
What's more important is that we have a proper defensive unit in front of the back line. There I agree with you. We needed a box to box worldie. An established, proven m/f but tbf I'm willing to see what Blind brings to the role. I'm just hoping Herrera will be back to create a new CM partnership. I think we'll know then . We also have other injuries and need our proper full-backs to return - Rafael and Shaw.

Zippy? Lay off the crack, you might even be able to spell your name right if you put the pipe down.

    What is our midfield?
    What is our defence?
Give us your view of our team and tell us where the faults lie.

Done deal! Great signing, but silver lining is that it distracted you from improving your terrible defence.

f** the defence. It is all about scoring goals. This is just an incredible signing. I didn't think we could top di Maria. But getting both di Maria and falcao is just bloody f**ing dreamland :) Last season we got Fellaini ....
