You mean unlicenced booze. And yes I've drunk plenty of homebrew before but I'd never buy it from some geezer out of the back of a van just the same as I wouldn't take random meat from the same kind of person, no guarantee of health controls. At least getting it home made from a mate he's unlikely to be trying to hurry the process with meths.
I had an African science teacher once and he told a story about back home he and some pals made some homemade booze that was around 90% alcohol. Not surprisingly, they ended up in hospital!
