I hope he makes it at AC and will follow his progress. One of the sad things for us is that during his time with the u18 and u21s he developed a good relationship with Raheem and the two of them were consistently miles ahead of anyone else in their age group (in the league not just the club.) Its a shame that understanding between players will never be tested at senior level. One of the assets of the recently great Barca team is that they had a spine that had played together since youth and had almost a telepathic understanding at times. During Borrells time here I had hope that we might have similar things happenning with the likes of Sterling, Suso and Wisdom all the same age and developing together. The change in management structure hampered that development and I think its a shame, especially when players brought in instead of those youth players havent shown to be any better. That said with Suso's vision and a slower paced game he probably is better suited to Serie A. The disgusting thing is though that we let a player of such talent leave for nothing. Our club is capable of incredible lunacy sometimnes
Is he better than Coutinho? No Can he play wing back? No Can he play striker? No He wasn't ever going to get into this team unless we had some extreme injuries. We haven't performed this season so Rodgers will play it safe, no way he will let a guy who has done so little to try and change the game.
As mentioned by others, there are other players ahead of him in this team and all are better. Suso is talented but he's poor defensively and he doesn't have a turn of pace. There are questions over his attitude as well. I'm sad to see him go because I thought he had a lot of talent but it's not like we're going to miss him ...
I think thats about it... he got to go on a free.. he shouldn've been sold not loand last year if he was not signing up for at least 2/3 years per loan.
