I think Suso will be a big gain for anyone especially as a free. Considering you guys have been splashing out tens of millions on up and coming young players from other leagues (moreno, markovic, can, ilori, alberto, origi), i can't believe you are just letting Suso go. I cannot accept that he's not been 'doing it'. He hasn't been given a chance in the first team and everytime i've seen him play he seems alright and fits Brendens philosophy. Both footed, neat on the ball, can thread a pass and elusive (good acceleration but not pacey). to illustrate this, 2 years ago in a poor first year (poor in the sense you finished 7th was it?), of the games he started, you won 6, drew 4, lost 1. Last year he was loaned off and as someone pointed out was 3rd in assists and scored 3 goals in the spanish first division (1 good season you say, like moreno? can?). This season he hasn't been given an opportunity (i heard injury?) but the game he came on at middlesboro in the cup he helped change the game.

He might have a bad attitude or maybe rodgers just doesn't rate him (not sure how much i would trust him given he keeps starting gerrard lovren johnson etc) we will never know but unfortunately in the modern epl game, unless you are a freak of nature, smaller more skillful players are typically not given the opportunity to make it through the youth team.

    Good luck to Suso

Dont even get me ****ing started on this. BR has messed up big time on this one. Suso has extreme quality and is versatile. If BR is such a good manager why are si many players wanting to leave. Dont remember this **** under Rafa. Suso has not been given a chance even though the rst of the squad have been ****ing dire. Bullshit decision an 45million wasted on Markovic and Lallana when we coukd gave kept Suso. SUso is a Liverpool fan who just wants to play football. All this attitude speculation is horseshit. All this develop from within talk is bollocks. Hope we just get bought by an oil baron snd buy some titles. Gutted

TBH this is not the first time some thing like this has happened. Insua and Ince for example. But it never turns out to be the wrong decision by the club.

Suso's Liverpool career is drawing to a close after he agreed a four-year contract with AC Milan.

The 21-year-old midfielder is out of contract this summer and he will head for Italy on a free transfer.

Milan are hoping the Reds will agree to let Suso to make the move during the current transfer window.

“Yes, I can confirm that there is an agreement between Milan and Suso on a four-year contract,” said his agent Jaime Serra.

“There’s a possibility (he will arrive in January). We’ll just have to see what happens between now and the end of the transfer window.”

Suso has made 21 appearances for Liverpool since his arrival from Cadiz in 2010.

He did hold talks with the club over a new deal last summer but it soon became apparent that an agreement couldn’t be reached.

Suso scored on his last outing for the Reds – the League Cup tie against Middlesbrough back in September. He then suffered a groin injury which required surgery and has only recently returned to full training.

Well, I suppose we did sign Konchesky.

What I meant was Insua as gone on to have a fairly decent career. He was never a bad player, he was just pushed into the first team too early and for too long.

So Suso didn't make as a first team player. We've known that is likely to the case for a long time and all the above crocodile tears are worthless!

He showed promise but it never blossomed into anything. It's sad but it happens - especially with young players. So let's wish him well and move on!

4 year deal in fairness to the lad is a great deal and i hope it makes him a millionaire and he doesn't vanish into obscurity but makes some break through

Has shown promise in his time here, undoubtedly talented, but just never got any chances. Rodgers didn't seem to trust him with game opportunities despite the awful performances from the senior members (or more expensive) of the squad he did trust. He was, in my opinion, definitely at least worth a few games in a row to see what he could do. When Sterling broke through, it was because we were hampered by injuries and didn't have many choices. With game time and learning from mistakes, he's grown in experience and grown physically too to become a good first teamer. I don't see why Suso couldn't have faired any different with game time unless he's not right mentally and won't put the graft in to improving like Sterling did.

I can see him turning up like San Jose - a solid La Liga player who certainly have done a job for us. Not so convinced letting him go so easily is a good deal...

i like the kids style but in the end two things.

1 he should never ever have been let out on loan without a contract. we basically set him up for a move and had no contract to get the fee. chelsea i can bet have every one of those 20 odd lads on loan on contracts.

    2. i agree rodgers didn't trust him to play. whether thats tracking or what i dunno. i think where he might have played this year he got injured but was never going to sign and we all knew as rodgers did his mind was made up last july.

i put it own as incompetance any time a kid who was loans is poached anyway.

I agree he was thrown in to early. He could have become much great had he been allowed to develop at his own pace.

Shame as he obviously has clear potential. Must be something we don't see like his attitude during training or something as he's shown last year on loan he can hold his own in a top division.

Should have at last been given a go when we've been struggling to break teams down but we have so many of them type of players now who are already established (Markovic, Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling, Ibe)

Remembering back to the 2012 season where we only had one decent striker up front I felt that Suso's contribution to the team was very useful - I still remember him as good as changing the game against Chelsea when we were 1-0 down.

Bearing in mind that we're in a similar situation this year (through our own fault) I felt that suso could have been given more of a chance to make a contribution this season. He's certainly more suited to our style of play that Lambert and Balotelli while Markovic hasn't done anything that Suso couldn't have done

I don't think Suso is good enough defensively to play wing back.

other than that agree about Lambert and Balotelli, but both play different positions

Lambert is our plan B/Alternative and is very important. Some thing we lacked last season.

Markovic's pace and strength makes him much better suited to English football than Suso.
