This is awful news for clubs that will now have less fans making the effort to attend, another death knell to the lower leagues brought on by Sky. Is this for Championship, L1 and L2 or just Championship?
I completely and utterly agree on the dwindling numbers but on average around 600k watch a test match on sky. I play cricket and the average age of our teams has got older but we now have 100 juniors down every Friday playing and I help out Chance To shine when I get chance, so the ECB and other organisation's are really trying to get participation levels up. The money the ECB get from Sky is going into the game. Blame Sky all you want but it's not their fault their bids get accepted what do you want them to do, not bid for TV rights? It's not Sky's fault it's illogical to blame them, surely it's those people who choose money over audience levels? PS 31 wickets at 15.71 this year if only I had an Irish cousin I reckon I would get a game for them.
Just Championship. Clubs should put on cheaper tickets or travel to get people to travel to these games.
Not interested in watching other clubs or other games, or 'Barca' or La ****ing Liga. Sky is killing our game and producing generations of passive slothful armchair ****s who 'support' their team from the settee. **** Sky.
