It matters not one jot,
Mourinho or even mad Mick
Would fail too, with this lot

This has been the problem now
For far, far, far too long,
Players who´ve forgotten how
To play neat, swift and strong

Time for youngsters now to play
A more significant role,
Or they´ll find another way
To realise their goal

Hope whoever takes the reins
Has eyes for youthfulness,
And will let them off their chains
To go out and impress

It will take a year or two
Or maybe even more,
To build and nurture a new crew
But it´s been done before

This division will sift out
The boys from those who´re men,
Leaving none in any doubt
Who we should play, and when

But until mathematics prove
We´re no longer a threat,
Don´t expect the ´old´ to move
Out willingly, just yet

Sad to say, for while they stay
We´re treading water here,
Tip the old bath water away
And let some fresh appear. OTBC

Spot on as usual sir, when I saw the team news on Saturday at 1400 hrs my heart sank, I really can't see why AN was sacked if AI is to continue in the same mold!

No, nor me, although I can understand the board were feeling under pressure to do something Dave, but it does seem a bit daft to just carry on ín the same old way. Particularly when Alex Neil had already begun planning for a more youthful future, by bringing in several promising youngsters, and making it clear he would have got rid of all the dead wood this summer. If now, the new regime don´t happen to think along those same lines, all that work is wasted, and we still risk hanging on to the old boys into the bargain. Surely players like Maddison, Godfrey, Thompson, the two Murphys, and even Toffolo, Rudd, and possibly Andreu, ought to have a starring role next season.
