I suppose I'm a huge cynic these days, but all the players lining up at the hospital going to visit Muamba, just when all the cameras happen to be there... all in broad daylight... looked like a huge PR OP to me. It's like all players were immediately instructed to make an appearance by their individual clubs. I'm sure Muamba is a great lad and very popular, but how many of the 500+ players in the prem know him well or have his number? It feels like there's a competition going on between the clubs who can carve up more sympathy and empathy.

It must have gotten a little bit out of control with the hospital having to put out a statement saying no more visitors (and cameras) because the patient and many other patients were being disturbed.

Can't fault Bolton football club for how they handled this difficult situation. It looked like to me that the Spurs players have been more affected by what happened than the Bolton players. At least they've been a lot more vocal about it in the national papers.
