Great news on Muamba - even if he doesn't play again. Also - well done the police (for once). They have arrested the Twitter muppet who posted racist remarks about Muamba after the incident. he has been released on bail, but has to go to court on charges next week. Hope it follows him around for the rest of his life.
Funny how they arrest them when the racist comments are about a famous person in the public eye. Just another example of the media dictating what the police do.
Yeah, not very even handed, but I don't care on this occasion. That ****er deserves everything he gets. He started crying when he was arrested, saying he was drunk and didn't mean it. Not such a big man after all.
You could argue its unrealistic to arrest people for every offence on twitter/internet. But yet that doesnt mean you shouldnt arrest nobody (i.e. if 100 people commit murders catching 1 of them is better than catching 0). And in this case it works to send out a message to people that it isnt acceptable. Precisely because it is in the public eye
Its really incredible this story - the Doctor who attended him has reported that he was without his own heart beat for 78 minutes! What an truly incredible job the medical staff must have done to not just keep him alive, but it looks as though he is going to make a recovery to lead a normal life.
