You could equally say bad news would give a quick response. They're still with him, so that's reason to stay positive.
Hope he pulls through, more to life than kicking a piece of leather with a bladder in. Slightly ot but subject related, I thought players were supposed to have heart scans now to check for any underlying heart defects? This has happened on a few occaissions now?
All news sources are saying he's now stable, but little else. I can't remember ever seeing players look this upset, what ever had happened on the pitch... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ottenham-v-Bolton-FA-Cup-sixth-round-tie.html
I've been told via one of my F1 friends who is bang up to date with everything in the world that he is stable but can't find anything myself
Hope the kid recovers. Some things are more important than a game of football. There was an article in the Sunday Times a couple of weeks ago. There his increasing evidence that super athletes, marathon runners etc, are causing themselves irreparable heart damage. Are football's playing too many games/training too hard? If you can find the article on the net, its an interesting read.
Looks like the medical team who went to his aid on the pitch might have saved his life, let's hope so. Hats off to 'em.
Special mention to Steve Robinson, a Spurs fan who happens to be a heart surgeon who ran onto the pitch when he realised what was happening. I'd put up his Twitter account, but he seems to be getting a bit pissed off with all the messages he's getting.
Only just seen this, thought I'd check the result. How dreadful. I hope he makes it through. Not only that, I hope he recovers to continue his career. Shocked.
I don't do twitter but if he's getting pissed off can't he just leave his computer and go and watch the telly? Fair play to the fella though if he assisted the situation.
I thought ITV had the rights to the fa cup so why would motd show it? And assuming he makes a full recovery, will he be allowed to play again and if so when do you think that would probably be?
For those who are on Twitter, check out the front page on tomorrow's Mail on Sunday, Miliband won't be happy... http://twitpic.com/8xo6pi
According to 5 live he is in critical condition in intensive care. Some sort of heart specialist ward.
I could have done with this bloke when I had to do CPR on Newland Ave when some gadgey keeled over. It didn't end well.
It wouldn't surprise me if he survives but has such severe brain damage he can't function without assistance. 10 minutes without breathing is a hell of a long time...
