A number of sources rumour-mongering about Delph, including the Star, Chronicle and Mirror. Probably just a single rumour that has snowballed. But I think he'd be a very, very good signing.

I don't think we would be able to purchase him off the bat and a loan would be beneficial to see if he can string some games together with out injury before buying but would be a very good addition to the squad for the second half of the season and with a clause to buy at the end of the season would be a good deal all round.

This <ok>

Be an excellent loan. That way if breaks down we know he is now another Andy Carroll and don't sign him <ok>

Well he's getting **** all games at City, so I'm sure they'd be keen to loan him out, they definitely won't let him go to a top half team, so could we persuade him to come here? Maybe, having a chance at smashing this league would be more fun than going on loan to Swansea or Palace.

Of all the midfielders we've been linked with, Delph is the one I'd be most happy with. Agree above, loan to buy suits all. <ok>

Are we happy to sign him on loan even though he has a groin injury with no return date (according to physioroom.com)? If that info is correct then you can see why he hasn't been playing for Man City.

This is the one deal I have heard about that I think would be a really good move. Exactly what we need in my opinion. Someone a bit more dynamic in the middle of the park.

Fit and on form and he starts in our midfield no problem.

You couldn't play him and Shelvey though, they are essentially the same deep lying playmaker. I mean Delph is a little more box to box. I suppose again it depends on formations etc. Anyway its all hypothetical as he hasn't been fit for about 4 years <laugh>

I think he'd be a good destroyer in the Midfield and can feed Shelvey.

Some aspects of our team are stronger than when we went down but we don't have Wijnaldum and aren't going to get someone of that ability.
