Shame he’s been injured but really positive there. won the ball nicely, drives forward perfect pass to Chiesa who prob should score but then lpbely first time finish.
Nice from Chiesa. Decent effort really unlucky. Thought he’s looked decent today. Run at his man, obviously bit of match sharpness but been positive.
We i really doubt slot will have his mind changed by any of this. Elliott was alright but should be head and shoulder over this lot so I don't see him get many minutes or a start off this. Quansah got his 90 but I really doubt anything he did will change his mind about how much confidence he has in the lad now. Rio was what he was.very young and won't be seen again unless the dose is very kind. Morton was alright but again didn't stand out so he will be up for offers. Can't see slot saying he can't afford to lose him. Endo won't be changing anything here . He just got his minutes. Still the last resort. Very difficult for a lad to make a statement from a position he's not supposed to be playing really. McConnell will he sad he was made go play cb when he is an 8 who would want o impress. 100% going on loan. Chiesa looks so unfit. No real pace on show. No weight loss. I can't see him get any minutes in the league. Nunez missed his one real chance imo 8 yards out and blazed it. Again tries his best but there you go. We will move on to the league with a few lads having minutes given to them but not really going to be a go to option for slot. At least macallister was not called on today. Oh and tsimikas at least didn't look as woeful as he did v spurs. 2 run outs will help him. Bradley got 30mins i suppose. Routine fa cup 3rd round I guess.
Jeez, you’re in a good mood today. Win 4-0, lots of youth players get game time and scored, fringe players get some minutes while 90% of first team sit out the whole day so fully refreshed for Tuesday. What did you actually want to happen?
Yeah - was happy with that today Never really seemed to be under any threat Easy for those games to go south All positive that for me
No first team player within a mile of anfield with any result at all would have done me. My point was only thaf I sincerely.doubt anyone put their hand up there screaming pick me Trent jota and nunez.might have needed minutes maybe they didn't but forest is the game that mattered. As I said the performances put in won't imo be changing slots mind. For example elliot was alright but I can't see anyone thinking he's going to get another game or be first option off the bench based on that. Nothing wrong with that but it was a chance to shine out and that didn't happen for him.
Yeah. That's not within an ass's roar of fit. 2 stone to.be lost? I didn't see the pace there either.
Don't know who the female pundit was but at one time she said about Chiesa " he has looked much better this second half", seeming to not appreciate he was on the bench for the entire first half
We need to be nice to Chiesa regarding his weight. It's perfectly understandable that he's having trouble losing it. Imagine growing up always eating crap like lasagna, ravioli with mushrooms and truffles, various flavourful pasta dishes, etc... Then you move to England and get exposed to beans on toast. It's only natural you'll be overwhelmed and want to eat it non-stop. If you look close you will see the tell tale signs of addiction. The bean-sauce stains all over his clothes. The rear of his shorts puffing out as he exerts himself. Chiesa has finally reached food-heaven and after a lifetime of mediocre Italian food is struggling not to be eating 24-7. 90 minutes is a long time to not be eating beans. He could have gone through 4 or 5 cans in that time . We need to not mock Chiesa but instead get him into rehab.
He doesn't look one bit lighter than his arrival at the club anyway. I'd have hoped for some impression being made on him over 6 months.
