Happy Tiger has previously written that he ‘hopes the name is changed’. Of course, he’ll probably deny or reinterpret that now. A few other sub-norms on this forum have also done the same. At least one of them submitted a secret dossier to the FA about that very concept.
Very relieved to hear the statement. Just wondering if we will still get a poll and what it will be. Surely even those sitting on the fence who may have been swayed by the threats etc can now see that it is a pointless idea. If the idea had been commercially sound then surely someone at the FA would have backed it but they didn't it was a unanimous decision to reject it surely that must bring this whole sorry saga to an end.
Or did he? With so much hype surrounding it, I felt sure that if published, the CTWD campaign would've died on its arse there and then. It was the one thing I feared the most - John's Report. The fact we have this rejection today leads me to think that he missed the deadline. It's the only possible explanation. And for that, I am grateful, and extremely relieved.
Brilliant. Looks as though Hull City are currently for sale then since as in it's "Allam's way, or no way". Great victory for the fans and football in general. The repercussions of this being successful would be embarrassing... What ludicrous ideas would be put forward by other owners if this got through? Bloody hell. Respect to the FA for once.
I guess we’ll find out in x number of years when this **** becomes declassified. Apparently it went even further than promoting the name change and contained several, fully illustrated, pioneering concepts that possibly might be of benefit to human kind including a method of studying whilst sleeping and a disposable cap that cleans the anus hole inside and out. Someone reckons Channel 5 have a copy of ‘that report’ but I can’t see it as he went to great lengths to ensure it securely made it there , even obtained a certificate of posting.
Sweet Jesus, gotta give you credit for trying to troll. Not sure why I'm bothering to respond tbh, and don't take it personally if I don't respond to any further baiting or trolling attempts from you. You don't get it, you never did. Why do you think I would change my view? If the name doesn't change and we keep the Family as owners, I'll be perfectly happy. If the name doesn't change and we lose the Family as owners, yes I will be unhappy. If the name changes yes, I'll be fine with that. Not sure how many times that needs saying in all honesty. You are reacting in exactly the way I expected the "rank and file" of CTWD to act though, so glad I called that a few weeks ago.
I wonder if the Allams knew about the rejection then decided to do the interview which was more measured then usual hoping to bring round more support. They then have a vote hoping for a more positive response. Just maybe they didn't realise that the FA report would be "leaked" so soon. This may not be how they planned it.
A straightforward question - would you prefer the Allam's to accept the decision gracefully, draw a line under it, and find other ways to take the club forward, or keep the process going with further representations and appeals?
I totally agree - I have become more and more against because of his irrational (and childish at times) ranting and raving about the issue. Hopefully the Fa will endorse the right decision, Allam will accept it and we can all get on with supporting the club and making it a success
Well done CTWD made my day this news Lets hope he sells us and we get a new owner that's not a nutter
Gotta say got sucked in a bit by promises of wealth and success if change allowed...always said i would still call us city though.Actually feel very pleased with expected result and glad the CTWD were stronger than me..WP guys frm happy City fan.x
I feel Ehab could now be more important, in the Allam/Hull CITY relationship, than ever. It's clear that although AA ultimately calls the shots, Ehab has his ear to some extent. I can see AA throwing a media wobbler then Ehab stepping in to steady the ship and slowly assume more and more control. That's what I hope for anyway. AA for all his intentions is a business dinosaur. In his marine turbine filled world that works ok, but in this media savvy razzle dazzle world of football, he's a very round peg in a very square hole. Cometh the name change knock back, cometh Ehab.
I hope he stays, think CTWD should come out with a statement saying so if they feel the same way, he may be a bit of a nutter but he has put money into the club, we all make mistakes yes his was a massive one but got everyone talking about us!
The problem with increased wealth in football is that it doesn't always equate to success. One of the reasons for our success so far under Steve Bruce is the strength of spirit within the squad, something that should be nurtured and allowed to develop naturally. If money was the only answer for clubs of our size then QPR would not now be in the championship.
i think if you asked 90% of City fans want to keep the name as Hull City, I also think most would say they have been good owners why-if they had not taken over the club when no one else seemed interested then we could have done a Portsmouth, if they had not brought in SB would we have gained promotion, SB needed funds to go up or else even he could not have done it. What about the bad side to the owners-Bad P.A some of the comments they have made were totally idiotic, none of us really know why they wanted to change the name, they totally went about the whole thing the wrong way, they have lost the trust of some of the fans. Overall its a big shame fans have been divided in our first season back in the premier league lets hope things settle down and everyone pulls behind the club together after all we still are in a relegation battle
