You are confusing me with someone else, I've never mentioned boxes or shut down a message board debate on here in my life. I said "we" because I helped write the submission to the FA. We, as in the CTWD committee. Ask me personally, and i'd say that Allam has said and done some pretty unpleasant things that have annoyed me. But I've risen above the insults for the collective good of City fans, because victory can be found on the moral high ground. It seems the FA agree.
all of that will be their final move if it comes to it ... yes it is wrong , but they are entitled to do it .. as they own the club ... you want a say ... they will take the money , walk away and say there you go .. deal with it ... one thing you need to realise , they are not stupid money wise .. and never will be ... this isn't about football . this is business , end of story
Those of us that keep the faith just need to stick together for another few days and the issue wil be resolved .He will have lost the ballot( unless he does a Crimea and makes the question unanswerable) and the family must decide their own destiny. Lets face it i didn't often see the family at BP so its up to them.
Highly unlikely scenario as they still live in & have business interests in the area.....if they simply cut loose their future in the area would be untenable, additionally they could not simply sell the club to the fans for £1 as current rules would mean the fans would not be considered fit & proper owners without the guaranteed finances in place to allow them to run the club
It's not a sweeping statement, we are contacted by people daily to give us their opinions, most to congratulate us on the campaign, some telling us that AA is a marketing genius and we are Luddites, but we do not have people pressing us to attack him personally, we generally get praised for not doing so. Frankly, we don't need to, he seems perfectly capable of making people think he's a twat without our help. The other point is pretty much the same argument that made me step down as a moderator on here, the inability of people to tell when I was doing one job or another. I generally post on here as myself, most of what I post is just my opinion, but when I'm posting CTWD minutes/blogs/releases, or clarifying CTWD's position, then I'm giving the view of the CTWD group as a whole. Though there is generally very little difference between the two. We are very happy with the approach we've taken so far, we believe it has worked very effectively and we'll continue to do what we think is best until the campaign is over.
Really ? Hardly sensible exposing their businesses to debts double their assets to treble the clubs debt levels
Spot on, resorting to personal attacks or insults toward the Allams would have lost the group the moral high ground, leaving Allam to look a bigger too with his insults & attacks on CTWD & the fans
they wouldn't , they would get back approx. £80 mill within a year (with sales) . and walk away happy , that's life
How many posts have you read on the subject? Not many clearly or you'd see it's not that simple for Allam to get his money back.
Why don't you do the sums for us because nobody else has seen an easy way out for the Allams. Proper sums. Proper figures.
But be careful, some of us remember you publishing the City player salaries which was confidential at the time wasn't it Gav ?
An unfortunate consequence of all this, is that instead of drawing a line and moving on, some fans have painted themselves into a corner, so for them, success now is for City to fail and the blame laid at the door of the protesters. We are where we are, and it's not a bad place. We all want the same things (pretty much) it just needs a touch of humility and respect from all corners and we could build on what we have.
It doesn't matter what people say if you actually see something black are you convinced it's white because somebody tells you black is white?
CTWD have presented a convincing case and won the support of the FA committee tasked to consider the issue. Why should they back down? Allam has not convinced more than a few individuals so he should back down. Why should EVERYBODY back down? Your logic gets more flawed with every post.
