Stockport v Bolton last night was a classic FA Cup game. A goal in the first minute for the visitors, then another bizarre own goal a couple of minutes later as the home fans were still streaming into the ground to see their side two down. Cracking attendance too, memories of City going there in the Cup in 73 and a Brian McGinty super goal there in the league cup some years later. From 3-1 down and another equally bizarre own goal, non league County stormed it to win 5-3 in extra time. They played well too and fully deserved it. We had a pitch invasion, a stoppage for flares on the pitch, a missing shirt and even a missing corner flag. Classic FA Cup.
Major police investigations if that had happened at City, months poring over videos, whole sections having to be left empty for segregation and a bigger bill for policing than Arsenal. Stockport will just carry on as normal and not act like a small town club.
He really wouldn't, he was awful at Blackpool in League One and despite doing ok with Stockport, he's no improvement on Eaves or Magennis. I was more surprised that Paddy Madden is playing there.

This feels like one of those ties that either we'll win and get Benitez sacked, or Newcastle will beat them the weekend before, get him sacked and they'll have that new manager bounce. Hopefully a few of the younger ones get a chance on the bench, great experience.
