I know how the outside world felt on that and it’s another reason to let Puel do his thing now. It was damaging to the clubs image given how the media were and in this day and age, image is important. If we sacked Puel in 7th guess what would happen again! It’s like I say, Puel has a plan I believe in, I think it was Ranieri’s lack of plan along with the club in free fall that made me agree with it (agree after the event that is not call for him to go which I done with no manager ever)
Puel will get more stick than his team's results would suggest, due to the style of football and lack of personal charisma. It happened at Southampton, where he was sacked after coming 8th and being unlucky to lost a cup final. It's no surprise to see it happening again at Leicester.
I just know that after getting to the fourth round for the first time in our history that we will get Accy away and go out. Still, great day and I can't complain as Ruby's doing the business for us.
Yeah tends to happen a lot that a club gets this far and then gets a dross draw n go out. Hopefully you get one of the big boys.
I'd take that as a draw tbh, lots of local interest and a sell out, hopefully on the TV as well. Segregation would be interesting with Watford being as close to the Hive as Barnet.
Congratulations to @Looney Leftie and Barnet for a great result. Woking did well to only lose 2-0 but the gulf in class was obvious throughout the game. The lads worked their nuts off, some of the players who aren’t on loan from bigger clubs showed that they could play at a higher level (Jack Cook could easily be a League defender and I wouldn’t be surprised if offers come in during the window), others were found out a bit. It was an amazing day out and I’m proud to be a Johnny Come Lately supporter of the club. <wipes away a tear> PS has to be said that the Watford support was a bit rubbish.
