FA Cup Weekend

I remember a much clearer handball not given when Bentaleb made a fantastic save against us. Sigh.

A bit harsh to say Leicester parked the bus. 10 shots, 2 goals and 5 corners. Spurs had most of the ball, as you'd expect of any team chasing a game for 40 minutes.

And Spurs had 24 shots. Also, our possession was 74% overall. They parked their bus and had 9-10 behind the ball for long periods and almost got away with it.

Regardless of how many shots you had, I think it's wrong to say they parked the bus given they had 10 shots and five corners. You were heavily odds-on favourites. It would have been odd if you didn't have most of the ball.

We both had numerous changes from our usual line ups. If you saw the whole game, they clearly came to defend primarily. Two banks of four, no space. Typical Italian defending.

They spent the vast majority of the game in their own half, 9-10 behind the ball.

I'm aware both teams made changes. I'm just saying at 4/7 at home you're expected to be on the front foot. Leicester tend to counter-attack, particularly away. They're clearly good at it if they can be a dodgy penalty away from winning at White Hart Lane.

I don't know why we were supposedly such odds on favourites. Leicester are currently above us in the table.

Yes, we were on the front foot. Hopefully, we'll get more space to play in the replay.

Burnely at home for us, I'll take that. We even get the pleasure of welcoming Josephe Bartone' back to the Emirates.

<laugh> as we have all season ...scoring the second most goals in the Prem so far (more than Spuds) ... God we've been so lucky ... mind you all that possession ... how many points is that worth? .. Man United must be romping away at the top with their stats surely?

And they nearly won the game !

What are your tactics in the next game
.
... pass it around very nicely around the half-way line for ages and then, having made no inroads shoot aimlessly from distance, coming nowhere close to scoring but being able to claim 'robbery' because having had at all that possession and shots off target the opposition clinically exposes their frailty <laugh>

While you sit back in your penalty area trying to stifle any creativity. Very inventive!

They should have just allowed you to slowly knock it about

We're going around in circles. When the opposition sits back in their own half with 9-10 men behind the ball, if it's anywhere near well organised, it's very hard to break down. That's pretty much all Leicester did for the whole game. Hence the possession and territory figures.

It's still not parking the bus though if they attacked enough to have ten shots and five corners. As someone mentioned, they've scored loads of goals and were top of the league until recently with probably a bottom half budget so you can't really knock it. I certainly wouldn't say they're a boring team to watch.
