Well we could really do with him at his best, he has it in his locker, and with aging Rangel so poor this season and Jazz not quite there yet, he should make his mark.................<ok>

Thats cool had a blonde lady and her hubby just to my right and they gave him dogs abuse from minute 1. I watched this kid play away at Sunderland last season and he had a great game. They just don't get the chance to play anything like meaningful football. so how can we then expect them to step up into the first team. I still believe some of these youngsters would be better served on short term loan deals (with call back clause) so they get to play proper competitive games and I am sure L1,L2 and conference are all better than this u21 thing we play in.

The prettiest legs in our Swans team, are the ones that burry the ball in the back of the net!..................<cheers>

Fulton and King are " professional footballers" not children.Ive seen lots worse written on here about our players without response so I personally find comments toward blob odd and without merit ...cheers though

I don't understand fans giving our players abuse like that, especially the youngsters. I agree that a loan deal can benefit and with the arrival of Grimes it may be players like Fulton will get less opportunities.

They are young kids just starting out in the game. To compare them to dirt and Dog ****e is surely unwarranted. But where you are right bob is 100% entitled to hold that opinion. It's just one i would guess most of us wouldnt agree with. But then maybe i am wrong.

No you're not. I'd hate to think that a true Swans fan would agree with comparing any of our players like that. Saying a player had a poor game is one thing but that's just horrible.

If you want to see players taking abuse from their own fans miggy ,,try following Phil for a few seasons . Lol...I not saying Fulton wasnt a good or great player in the past or wont be in the future , Im saying that was one of the worst performances Ive seen by a midfielder for Swansea ( be it TV ) .Now Im sorry if this is someones cousin or something but they get payed for this ...sorry.

Apologies - a very, very poorly chosen analogy.

But, I stick by my opinion based on previously seeing him live and on TV that Fulton hasn't got what it takes to excel in the Premier League, in the same way as Donnelley didn't / doesn't - he may be technically gifted but as with Shelvey he lacks awareness and it seems sharpness of thought.

Cheers, although they were tongue in cheek I accept they were ill considered and I do apologise.

Have to say Jazz has played significantly better than Fulton only to get pilloried.
Fulton needs time on loan in League 1 IMO even though he has played 80+ games of senior football with Falkirk
King didn't have much chance to show what he can do yesterday but his speed is impressive.

Anyway, let's talk about Mo Barrow. Anyone else think he should be challenging our Nathe for his spot? Maybe worth a start in the WHU game as he's a bit of an unknown. Any takers?

I thought he was brilliant yesterday.

As he's only had a few Premier / senior minutes it's hard to tell. I was excited about him getting a decent run against Palace but I think he was very much like Nathan as he didn't get passed his markers (he was well marked though) and was easily dispossessed. If we can get a ball to him in space I think he could be dangerous but he doesn't seem up to the Montero standard, or Nathan on a decent day - yet.
Did well yesterday without being outstanding but again was in the right place at the right time to score.
Given the 'style' of West Ham maybe not a game he's flourish.

This . he needs a few more games to see how he'll get on at PL level ,he's still raw and his decision making is suspect in as much he'll keep trying to beat the man with the same option of trying to take him on rather that use his speed to push the ball past and beat him with his pace .He played well yesterday but in fairness to the opposition was well marshalled for the 1st half and was kept well outside any of the danger areas but as the game opened up he came into his own ,A great acquisition to the Club imo.

Your entitled to disagree Mrs M but getting the jist of the post right in the first place would help your argument. My post referred to the nasty uncalled for abuse our youngsters, particularly Fulton, received. It did not refer to how he/they played or to you or your view Mrs M. I thought that was plainly obvious, obviously not.

Should probably try Mo Barrow in the premier league this season, Montero is out so definitely try him out. I think he's a real game changer coming in after 60 mins when you're 1-0 down.

Chris Wathan of Wales Online thought Fulton was joint man of the match and whilst I did not agree with that apart from his missed goal attempt in the penalty area I thought he did ok. Adam King looked comfortable on the ball for the short time he was on. As stated Barrow, Fulton and King are not established first teamers yet and will improve with more game time off the bench.
