Our lass got abandoned on Park st during her first test. ****er just got out and walked away. She sat there for 10mins crying her eyes out. Pissed it the second time....
When I took my bike test the examiner stopped me on the way out of reception, pointed to a bike about 25yds away and asked me to read the registration plate. It was my bike.
I rang my Mum to tell her it was on in 15 minutes on iplayer and she openly mocked me. On my wedding anniversary too.
It’s not until tomorrow, but it will be on the FA cup link and there’s usually a few options you can pick.
I think Ipswich play Charlton in the league today. Something to do as I am struggling with City not playing.
I still have my red cardboard licence somewhere, with an endorsement for speeding in 1971 stuck in it!
Y You only got to do that if you had passed everything else. If they did not ask you to do it you had already failed
Know this as on my first test I was shunted on Alfred Gelder Street although I was waiting at a traffic light. I failed as did not have handbrake on on a flat road!!
Almost managed to get my Yak driver license on the Rongbuk Glacier in the '60's. The hand-brake on the transport slipped out of my hands. Fail.
Grant McCann has confirmed that young winger Keane Lewis-Potter will be in the match day squad for the Tigers’ Emirates FA Cup round two clash against Stevenage. The forward, who has scored six goals so far this season, has been building his fitness back up after a period of self-isolation and is now ready to play a part in Grant McCann’s side once again. Elsewhere, Greg Docherty and Reece Burke will miss this Sunday’s trip to the Lamex Stadium. Docherty has recovered from injury but will not be risked, whilst Reece Burke will undergo a minor operation to repair a broken nose sustained in the Burton Albion clash. The duo are set to be available for Wednesday’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Doncaster Rovers. McCann has also confirmed that he will make changes for the Emirates FA Cup fixture this weekend. The Tigers’ Head Coach says he wants to rest some players ahead of a busy Christmas schedule, while giving opportunities to those waiting for an opportunity to play. Speaking on his team selection ahead of the weekend, McCann said: “We haven’t finalised it just yet but there will be changes to the team. “I think it’s important with the amount of games we’ve got this coming month that we give people a rest where we can and give others some game time so that they’re sharp for when we need them. “There will be changes to the team, but as I’ve mentioned before, we’ve got good depth here and players are affecting the game when they come off the bench or when they play in the Papa John’s Trophy. “They’re all chomping at the bit to play so we’ll be giving them an opportunity.”
Did my test in Singapore 1967, 100 dollars to the examiner, guaranteed pass. Gutted when I had to do it again in Dundee when demobbed.
Did my bike test day after my 18th b'day in 1971 - pissing down with rain, the examiner had me go twice round the block while he stood in a shop doorway smoking a Woodbine, 2nd time round he had me do an emergency stop and ride for 5 yds (max) at walking pace before he ran back to the test centre to ask me 3 questions on the highway code - ten minutes after I walked into the test centre I had that pink slip tucked into my pocket and my L plates dropped into a dustbin!
