Naismith has one hell of an agent. No relegation claus and an option to leave on a free after 18months with us paying 80% of his wages.
During the Pink'un debate, Dave Freezer said that Naismith's salary was "closer to £30,000 as it did include a relegation clause". He's gone on a loan until the end of the season, not a permanent move. Have you any source for the 80% figure. I doubt we would do that for a savings of around £75,000.
Interesting view of VAR from Archant's Chris Lakey - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/norwich-city-v-chelsea-1-5361243 Quite a fair summary IMO. Edit - Also liked this story of how some fans bypassed the delays on the tube - http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/canaries-fans-bike-to-stamford-bridge-1-5361254
I think this is exactly what happened. In the stadium the Willian penalty shout looked stonewall right in front of us, but the ref was obviously thinking very hard. Despite the howls of Shearer and co loving the big clubs, I can see why the VAR didn’t overturn that decision because Willian took another step before going down, but I reckon if the ref had given the penalty the VAR would also not have overturned it. “Umpire’s call”.
tbh, at the time of signing, I thought we had done well, the price was high but they always are in the January window. Sadly for us it just didn't work out.
Oh, I suppose that makes it acceptable, then - t@sser http://www.skysports.com/football/n...edro-dived-against-norwich-because-of-fatigue
Shearer will be going apopleptic when he reads this - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5298733/VAR-used-2018-World-Cup-Russia.html Hopefully it will stop 'the hand of God' etc!!?
