No argument. We shot ourselves in the foot - twice. Had we not done that, we could easily have won. It's never easy when you're constantly chasing the game. Especially, when it's caused by stupid mistakes. Mistakes that we don't normally make.

Very even game and I think you could argue that both teams deserved to win. The difference was squad depth. Spurs have to get better depth moving forward. Exactly the same for Liverpool.
Alderweireld hasn't made many this season has he? Nor Lloris? What hurt you was that when you did make mistakes, they had the players to punish you. That's why Chelsea are top of the league, & you are just behind them (albeit getting nearer). I thought the pen was soft btw.
The free kick was well taken, admittedly, but Lloris should have been covering that side. The penalty, you'd expect him to score, wouldn't you? No doubt Moses was looking for it, but Son's idiotic two footed lunge gave him the opportunity to flop over that he was looking for. Toby took one for the team. He knew what he was doing bringing Pedro down.
Wholly agree ... Conte had a B team that were capable of competing and taking some of the sting out of the opposition...he was then able to bring on his stars to serve up the killing blow ...in terms of scoreline it could, perhaps should, have ended up 5 or 6 ...which would have been dreadfully cruel on Spurs, given the overall balance of play. As an aside, I thought Nathan Ake was very good ...one superbly timed challenge on Dele Alli.
Fair enough on No.4. No.1 is more placed through a gap. But he'd still take that shot 100 times and miss 99.
Here's hoping today's semi is half as good. Based on each teams' defensive frailties this season, it could end up 9-7 ... that said, the mischievous footballing gods will likely serve up a bore fest with the winners taking it on penalties after a drab 0-0.
Fair point ...not many headers scored from that low and degree of 'glance' ...certainly caught Courtois napping...
