If we had beaten West Ham, Arsenal and Chelsea, I think we would have sold out. I also think they would have released the season ticket prices too
It's also terrible timing being the same day as the Southampton marathon and London marathon. That'll knock out a fair few people that otherwise would have gone, myself included.
I liked that so people would think I am capable of running a marathon. In fact, I am only capable of eating one (for you older ones out there)
Interestingly (well not really), I just googled it and the name was changed 28 years ago. Half this board would have never bought a marathon bar
I'm arriving in London at about 11am. I am however, in corporate so be in Wembley stuffing my face from 12:30, but up for a meet before then.
I knew it was the old name for Snickers, but I have never seen one. I was only 1 when the name changed though.
I only get in around one but happy to join the party then. Someone with better knowledge of the area want to pick?
Chatting to the die hard United fan who does security in our place. He said that United's allocation for Sat went to general sale which is a rarity for the likes of United. This lad was at every away European game last season and most league and cup away ones and couldn't get a ticket for the EPL Final last year so the same interest isn't there elsewhere either
I only know about this from Father Ted...July 19th, Marathon became Snickers, Galway Liberated from Indians, Ice Age ended...And most importantly, my day of birth!
Chelsea apparently haven't sold their allocation either, and they're a london based big team with not much else to play for.
I'm not going, mainly because of the cost - ticket, train (about £70), hotel for 1 night, food etc etc. I'd rather wait and see if we get to the Final...
The Midland Massive (which now includes a member who moved to Cornwall - daft Bugger) will be setting off about 8am by car down to North London then over ground train down to Wembley. What a nightmare Wembley is to get to
