Will go. Always do. Just ****ing pissed off with that performance, this season. 5 PL wins, which really were all dodgy. And now we need 2-3 to save us.
Yeah, it was a pretty gutless display, which is the one thing I find hard to forgive. If the players can just manage to look like they give a **** for the rest of the season, I'll accept whatever comes.
Yeah I never base the decision to go or not on our chances to win. I'm not going now due to finances etc. had a few expenses recently including losing my phone which I still haven't managed to replace... Saying that actually, what was I ****ing saying to you on here just the other day
I know, but I have a lot of expense coming up and the semi-final will be a big expense and I just don’t know if I should do it. You won’t find me slagging the team or club, I don’t like that, .... yesterday sapped a lot of belief from me. Sorry.
My semi final arrangement will be booking my taxi from Southampton Airport to my home, before I board my flight out to Spain this Sunday. Normally buy a bottle of milk, in WHS, on the way back, but might have to forego that to save a few minutes.
Turns out I’m going to be in a box for this. Free bar and meal provided so at least I can get trashed and eat when we get dicked
Should be alright, my mate who owns the box is a Chelsea fan though so probably be the only Saints fan there. Will just get drunk and enjoy the occasion
I too am so 'Meh' about this one. Going corporate from an old school friend, but I am kinda hoping that I get let down. The other half is going to Atlanta to see the new grandson next week, and I am staying here to go to the cup semi. Plan on flying out just after, but god forbid we fluke a win, I'll give Atlanta a miss for a while. I mean, grandsons are born every couple of years, but a Cup final! PS I say it in the relative anonymity of the internet, but if my daughter read this I would be lynched
Tickets secured. Block 135. Must admit the thrill of the chase of getting the tickets I targeted will in most probability outweigh the thrill of the actual game! Still buzzing though....
I'm going to London that day. But I'm going to support my sister who is running the London Marathon instead. She's not a 'runner', has two young kids and is running for a cancer charity as our mum died of cancer when we were young. She will be giving everything she's got to get round 26.2 miles and is far more deserving of my support than the current players. Note: I said I'd go and support her long before we got to the semi final
A story I have told before on here, but hey, some of you may have forgotten/been too young/not bothered to read it and I don't care anyway I was sat next to an old lady (yes, even older than me) on the way to the semi-final at Villa Park. She mentioned a husband, so I said, 'Didn't he want to come?' 'Oh yes', she said...'He had a ticket, but then was rushed into hospital and had a leg amputated.' I guess as a fellow fan he understood what was really important.
Beating Chelsea is a huge ask but I’m not sure we need a miracle. At the risk of creating false hope, let me post something from a Chelsea fan I know:
