The BIG clubs saying they play too many games , is it not the case that most of the teams play weakened teams against what they consider to be inferior sides . I am of the opinion that they could exercise the option of not playing in the Champions League , Europa League etc which is NEVER going to happen because of the purge of our great game MONEY ! . The Premier League is pulling all the FA’s strings excercicing no thought for any clubs outside of the Premier league due to the greed of the top clubs and their desire to accumulate more money at the expense of the lower league clubs . The FA cup has always been a good opportunity for smaller clubs to make some much needed cash by being rewarded by a kind cup draw . When SAFC won the cup in 1973 I was fortunate to attend three replays on our route to the final against Notts County , Reading , and most famously Manchester City which this rule change could have changed our destiny . The EFL must oppose this change as strongly as they can or come up with a suitable plan of action rather than simply roll over and accept what is opposed as this rule change is affecting all lower league clubs futures . Protest !!!
