Unlike the WPL. there are no automatic points simply for tipping Yorkie. I have your tips as being Watford v Wolves 3-1, and Man. City v Brighton 1-1. For the sake of the Predictions League I take the scorelines after normal time as being the relevent ones ie. 2-2 for the Watford game, and 1-0 for the City one. The only posters to get points on the Hornets game were those who tipped either 2-2 or a draw. It is difficult to find a points system which also includes extra time periods Yorkie - this has always been the way for scoreline based cup games, like finals and semis, and Leo used to do the same.
The only thing which has changed over the last couple of years is that the semi finals are now on the same basis as the final ie. based on predicting the actual scoreline rather than just putting H or A as in the earlier rounds. There have never been points for remembering to predict in this league. Scoring a zero is very possible at the semi final stage (with only 2 matches), and there will be lots of them around after the final.
Golly, thanks TD9! & Cologne! So all we have to do now is guess how many City will beat us by or will we dare to think the alternative......
Well we now know that the final on 18th of May will be between the Horns and Man. City. Just a reminder that as far as this league is concerned the defining scoreline is that after normal time (ie. 90 mins.). I will be the first to take the plunge. May 18th Watford v Man. City 2-1
The wheels nuts are becoming undone game by game on Man Cities runaway train to the quadruple How ironic would it be if the only trophy this year was by way of a Chelsea keepers tantrum in the league cup final Watford to win 3-1 and end 4 years of hurt and frustration
Watford 2-3 Manchester City Just can't see us winning it even if we went 2-0 up. I will settle for scoring and giving them a proper match... that said we have the players who can win it for us but we'll need City to have an off day.
Watford v Man City 0-2 Cheers Cologne for this season's FA cup prediction league. Also, I hope you enjoy the final!
