newport ahead against leicester. not going to risk a new thread with the merge merge merge brigade out there.
The FA Cup is alive and well.... I hope Newport and the other shocks get a good 4th round tie which is financially rewarding.
Useless fact of the day, Millwall FC aren't in Millwall, they're five miles away on the other side of the Thames.
My overriding feeling is an opportunity missed. Personally, I would have liked to have seen Adkin's be a bit more positive with his team.I'm all for blooding youngsters and pleased to see Lewis-Potter have a cameo, but seeing we are now mid-table then playing closer to our normal league team might have been worth doing. Fine take them off at 60 minutes if the game is safe, but at least give it a go.
Yeah, one thing about rotating the squad which seems to get overlooked is that it gives players some match practice. Back in the day, they'd get this in the reserves, but it could be months between any decent match practice for some. Ano yet if injuries and suspensions pile up, they'll be expected to come in and do a job. Problem we had on Sunday was that we had nothing on the bench. Twenty mins or so to go, we were hanging onto a 1-0 lead. It would have been ideal to bring experienced defenders/ midfielders on see it through.
