Been to both of these with Dartford. Gateshead looked impressive but it's an athletics ground, so a lack of atmousphere, a poor playing surface and strong wind made it a dull day. Altrincham was very 'old school' non league. We won' t have a big share of tickets there as the capacity is apparentlñy only 6000, and we'll need some character. Be nice if the FA would let us stream this one.

<ok>. Don't know if we're quite ready for Palace yet. Millwall maybe, at least it would be 0-0 at H/T, all their games are.
Arsenal or Liverpool would be fantastic at The Valley. Both have great sets of supporters, as do Palace. At least their heart is in the right place displaying that banner at the Newcastle match.

Newcastle have fantastic supporters, and we might even beat them. However we're a crap cup team, and remembering Northwich Victoria no chickens will be counted, especially if our game is televised, when we always lose.

I hope you win and go as far as possible in the Cup. As for the League, you are improving. This seanson's Blackpool!!

IA bit of a long-distance journey for your supporters!!
Fair play to those who go, considering that it's live on telly. If we lose they'll be able to say "I was there" for years, just as fans do who were at Northwich Victoria. Some may even have done the double. This may sound pessimistic, but this is the FA Cup, and our record since I've been supporting Charlton (1975) is abysmal. Telly for me.
Just been watching highlights of Gateshead's win, they scored some decent goals, and won't be there just to make up the numbers, Not too much of a weakened team please, although Curbs always put out a strong team and we were still crap in the Cup.

I've been to Gateshead with Dartford FC. Soulless ground though I imagine there might be more atmousphere for this game. This won't even be on TV for me, and the local British pub closed forever during covid, which is sad as I saw both Sunderland play-off finals there. Still, I guess the club website will have commentary.
