So villa just managed to stay up. Then got beat in the fa cup final.

They're ****ed next season.

I loathe Arsenal and don't give a ****ing ****ity **** what they win.

I don't care if they play well.

I don't care if they play badly.

If they lose I take pleasure in it.

If they win I'm simply not interested.

Villa I'm ambivalent about in general.

But I hate that tosser Sherwood.

So I'm glad that they lost.

Thing is, I don't care about football results between other clubs.

I care about Hull City.

Everything else can **** off and die.
Me too Ernie, to the point that I certainly couldn't be arsed to watch a game today between two teams that I have zero alliance to.

That was a pretty humiliating effort by Villa, unlike City last year. Hopefully the upper echelons of English football will again be graced by our presence in the near future.

I watched that and the DFB Pokal finals last night, both were great matches.

Messi proving why he's the best once more.

And, a lesson from Bilbao fans on how to support your team when they are beaten. Not one left, all stood applauding their team after the game. No one rushing out despite a 370 mile journey home and the game not ending until after midnight.

They wanted to Basque in the glory for as long as possible.

I'll get me coat.

The glory of losing? A bit different to a lot of fans in this country.

I wouldn't mind basking in the glory of some young filly in a basque.

I thought City fans were excellent after the Manure game.

I said a lot not all, and not at all times. Though we have had people walking out and not stopping to applaud the team the team even after performances like beating Liverpool as they want to avoid the traffic as they have to get all the way to Hessle or Longhill at 5 o'clock. Bilbao fans had 370 miles to go after midnight. Though they have bsrscandvrestaurants to go to at that time and transport systems at that time in contrast to this country. I am old enough to remember going to Spain when they were regarded as being years behind us.
Contrast how many Bilbao fans were there to see their team leave the field compared to Villa ones.

The Spanish do things a bit different to us and have a siesta in the afternoon and eat late on a night. Last time I visits a business friend in Madrid, we didn't sit down to eat until 1am. So matches do seem to fit in with that life style.

There are moves to change things in Spain to bring it into line with other countries and work nine until five then go home and an an early night to bed ready for work the next day..
A shame as they seem to have a more laid back and less stress free way of life. Mind you, siestas and that are irrelevant on a Saturday when most people aren't at work.
I first went there when Franco was Ali e. Back home pubs were shut in the afternoon and shut at 10.30pm, 10pm on a Sunday. Sat in a bar at around 3am a shop steward from Rolls Royce works (hardly a right winger) said to me that if this was a Fascist dictatorship, sat in a bar 4 hours after they all shut back home and open again early in the morning in a country where people left their doors open without worry then he wouldn't have minded a bit of it in England.
In balance, my first boss in the 1960s left Spain in the 1950s as he found life in Madrid stultifying and saw England as a vibrant place where you were free to do your own thing. He always said though at the time in the sixties when there were protests about things daily and students and trade union leaders were praising the likes of the USSR and Mao that the difference between Fascism and Communism was that the Fascists weren't afraid for you to travel and see other ways of life. And didn't stop you leaving if you didn't like it where you were.
Not politics, OLM, just reminiscences.

Cant beat the Spanish way, shame if it did all change.

I had an interview in Spain in mid February. They ate about two and the lunch hour went on for two, I thought are they taking the piss? Seems it's the norm. I started with them at the end of April! Based in the UK.
