Torres looked a fine player last season and made the press many times due to his and his team's performance in teh cup as they went quite far. Surprise no one bigger came in for him in the summer. It has been too long since we last went far in teh cup and it will be interesting to see what strength team DM will put out. Will he play his best 11 to get the win or rest players for the league as safety in the league will be his first priority, followed by promotion followed by cup competetion I would imagine. My hope is to get the worse team in every round as why wish for a big team straight away when if you keep winning your games eventually you will meet a big team and you will pick up more prize money along the way and given our current loses thanks to the stadium and council we need some extra funding.
"Did say I would stay away from most threads if wums were not intended. However, this very thread started with a wum, so its all good eh" Dont worry Chris, theres no 'mysterious' thread closing on this side of the river when a few home truths fly about!
I concede you might have a point there , but they are all in the same division as us. With Crawley two divisions below you it should be a walk in the park !
Probably, but then Southend, Sheffield United and Swindon probably thought that too; and we're at home!
I have a bad feeling about this one. Two options! Play the first team and expect to lose, draining all the confidence Delboy has built up. NOT AN OPTION. Play the Under 18's and keep the result away from the first team so they don't get a reason to lose confidence. Include JCR, N Hunt, D Stewart, Junior if we really do want to win it! (Please note tongue in cheek remark)
