Breezy I know your finding your feet on here, and all that, but Norway has always been a top poster on here, and only wants this forum he loves sorted out, Dai is a pain in the arse, with all his one track postings, I've switched off to him years ago, but he's single handedly upsetting many posters, hope you can see that!..............<ok>

Haven't been on in a day or two.

We beat Birmingham yesterday in the FA Cup.

Clicked the last page on the Swans v Birmingham thread.

All I can find is posts where you twats are squabbling like children.

Mods , shaper called us twats, I realise he's absolutely right but my feelings are in tatters . Great win yesterday boys , just one of many coming down the pipeline. It will be a fine time to start talking some bigscalps starting with Napoli after we gain points and confidence in the games leading up PS See if the board can make it a whole day without bitching about Daiswan cheers
 
Id have less hassle moderating a bloody day nursery.

Just get on with your posting, if Dai steps out of line he will be banned, as will anyone else, self moderating helps no matters, because all it does is put us in a more difficult position, where banning one, means banning others. So leave it be, and let us do our jobs, when the time is right. I won't be forced into banning anyone, it just further enforces my position of not banning. Because I do not like witch hunts.

So like said, just get on with your own posting, and the forum will sort itself out.

I have no problem with how you decide to deal with things, but when a poster like Ivor gets regularly insulted and called "plastic" for having an informed opinion on something you need to look at the respect levels and overall health of the forum .

We all know where the problem lies we all know what is doing the damage, it aint rocket science thats for sure.

You do things as you see fit and you will get my support, i dont care much for the other MOD who tried to ban me for speaking my mind RE daiswan but thats in the past .

If we stick to football then there is no proble but of course what ever the topic is all posters know Dai will take the opposite view for devilment ,after a number of years it wears thin , ive tried humouring ive tried ignoring ive tried confronting but what ever approach is taken the end result is the same derailment of the threads !
 
I look forward to reading all of shaper's posts , one of the best poster on here , I was having a bit of fun there. I'll never ask for someone to be banned , thats the mods job and I will never put some8ne on ignore , not even you norway

If Dai is that bad NJ, why didn't you ban him when a MOD? You say it's in the past, but bring it up at every opportunity. Change the bleeding record <doh>
 
I didnt need to Ban him, i deleted his comments until he got the message not to **** about with the threads, the difference was that i was prepared to stand up on and manage the situation for the good of the Swans board, your solution seems to be to do nothing !!

When i was a MOD i never ever got personal either, everybody was treated the sae,if i deleted something i would explain why and if somebody didnt like it i told them they could fck off to planet swans if they wanted . All in all i was fair with everyone and took no personal agenda including Daiswan, im above that .

When Dai was typing stupid things i removed them to protect the flow of the threads, and that was fine .


You guys are doing neither, you are trying to reaso with somebody that doesnt want to reason !! its just plain daft to be honest .


As far as im told, your solution to dealing with Dai was to try and Ban me for standing up to him !! totally pathetic if you ask me . If you do right by the forum i will respect you and back you all the way but its clear to almost everyone that there is too much talking and not enough doing on here !

I will back you all the way ,we all know why stuff gets derailed ,we all know the solution to the problem,its up to know if you have the will to change things <ok>
 
You mean for him to have your will norway .I think the mods are doing a superb job as is but we all have opinions
 
Mods are doing a pretty good job at the moment, but I think they should delete threads like the one asking for Dai to be banned. Posters should PM a mod if there's an issue. A thread attacking one person will start the arguing off again. Best that they are deleted so no-one can see them. It should also be a banning offence to start witch hunts like that. I don't see why people don't ignore Dai if they don't like what he says. It's easy to do. But the fact is that many love to arguing with him and abuse him. Yet another witch hunt on this forum.
 
Dai was out of line for calling Ivor plastic, I totally agree with you, but where does it stop, those who call Dai all names under the sun? I have been guilty of that too. If I was to ban Dai right now for calling Ivor plastic, then I would be banning a lot more than just Dai for similar instances. I am not up for banning 50% of the members here right now, hence why I have asked for people not to retaliate, and just let us know, that way those who are at the root cause get banned, but whilst people get involved, I am not bothering. Because there is just no point.

As for ignoring Dai, I have tried it myself, it didn't work, but whilst people respond to him in the manner that they do, then insults will go flying around and it puts us mods in a pretty difficult situation, as not all the time is Dai the one starting with the insults. It may well stem from other topics, but we are not here full time, and we don't see everything that goes on between two users.

But like Dai is out of order by having a go at Ivor, others out of order insulting Dai other times. So where does it end? When we ban every member for insulting, or when people actually give us the chance to do our job without interfearing or asking for us to do something, or getting involved themselves. I have modded quite a bit, and the only way for things to work, is if the community is willing to listen and trust those who are wanting to help, in a way they think will work.

I mod my own way, I won't get involved in tit for tat crap, because your grown ups. And until people stop getting themselves involved, it won't get any better. The betterment of this forum starts with the me and you, its all well and good blaming mods, but whilst your all getting involved in tit for tat discussions, insults and all that stuff, then it is never going to get any better.

So like I said in the topic I put up about a new start, do not get involved, just PM me and I will sort it. But what has happened, people have got involved.

What is easier, banning 1 person who insults, or trying to figure out who to ban when 10 people have sent insults flying around? I know which I prefer.

Its such a cop out to say "who do i ban" well, im sure ost know where the trouble stems, so its quite easy to figure out !! then i hear "im not here all the time" well look its not hard to have a read through stuff once a day, when you do that you will again see where the trouble starts .

As for banning him completely ,you dont have to do this just Moderate and remove content when required, eventually he gets bored and falls in with everyone else, its everyone elses problem seems to be the mantra here .

If your on the ball you dont need to worry about what 10 other people said, they are 9 times out of 10 reacting to what has been said by the stealth wummer, if the stelth wummers commnets are not there you will not get a reaction plain and simple .

If you cant deal with reading and following what goes on then you can give a tempory ban and see how the traffic flows when he isnt around <ok>

There are no problems only solutions but all i see are excuses not to do anything about it, if thats the case what is the point of moderators, this is meant with the utmost respect by the way <ok>
 
Yet when we do remove posts, others then complain about posts being removed etc.
the problem is, although Dai may call somebody plastic or delusional on occasion, there are plenty who call him a t**t, w**ker prick and as swanselona has said, if he goes then those who retaliate have to go. Should they just ignore the post until one of us sees it, it will get dealt with.
