Good news is, we can't get Leeds now!!! Need to see who's left but it's just nice to still be in the hat... A run to Wembley would be nice again. Championship safety and a cup final appearance would be a decent season.
Quite right and I think we Bloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooobirds deserve a bit of sunshine.
Not long got home after what was a very enjoyable day. Supported by a very noisy contingent of travelling Bluebirds, City played some really nice football to take a 2 goal lead but seemed to sit back towards the end of the first half and didn't turn up for the start of the second half, allowing Stoke to take a 3-2 lead. Stand out performances for me, came from Ramsey who took some stick off the Stoke fans, Salech who scored one and really should have had a second, Fish who had a fine game at the back, O'Dowda and Alves who both made several exciting runs down their respective wings and Colwill who has ditched his blond haircut and found his scoring boots. Deservedly getting back into the game at 3-3, the extra time was fairly even and it was down to the lottery of penalties with Horvath making a super save to keep one out. Looking forward to the 5th Round draw on Monday evening now. Can the Bluebirds repeat the achievement of their forbears of 100 years ago and go all the way to a Wembley final? We can but dream! I would like to give a mention of Lewis Koumas, son of Jason Koumas our much loved Bluebird. Lewis Koumas scored two excellent goals and looks to be a future favourite in a Welsh shirt.
Glad you had a good day BT. Did the locals turn ugly afterwards? Not a difficult action for them. Don't want to be picky but didn't we go all the way to a Wembley final in 2008? I wasn't there unfortunately as I was sat in Faro airport waiting for a plane home and for you to message me to say we had equalised.
Yes you are being picky. I was referring to our great 1920's bluebirds. I will mention them again in two years time! I don't suppose I will be around in 2108 for that centenary.
Lovely match and day summary BT. I'd give you a bonus point but then I'd have to take it off you in the pursuit of equity!
Two scuffed daisy cutters that crept into the corners - any decent defence would have clattered him long before he got those efforts away and the "winning penalty" just because he was the last to take one - you could easily say that Ralls' emphatic first was the "winning penalty". Colwills' first meaningful contribution for a dozen games at least - now he's the "wonder kid" again............
Don't know who this commentator is on the Beeb highlights, but I just love his entusiasm for the game............... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/videos/clykegl3711o
