We will see. I just think for that line up one of Stewart or brannigan won't play Not sure but lucas or can will play.
I'll be quite unhappy if we put out a weakened side. Unless we win, of course- then I'll take it all back.
Problem is we've got a big game against Leicester on Tuesday. We've got to rotate, its just a bit **** that our lack of quality in depth + injuries makes our second string really weak. Without injuries you could have a second string that looked something like: Mignolet, Flanagan, Toure, Lovren, Gomez, Lucas, Allen, Ibe, Texeira, Ings & Benteke which is a lot stronger and a more competitive team.
I wouldn't mind if he did put in the youngsters/reserves. He may not have any choice anyway bacuse of tiredness and injuries. I do not think Klopp will be too bothered if we lost today. I think as we are in the final of the COC we might as well focus on it and not worry too much about the FAC which has still a very long to go. These two competitions are equal in status and to try to spread ourselves thinly would be crazy. Getting out of the FAC is a small price to pay to win the COC trophy.
We would be in last 16 of fa cup if we win. Frankly league is gone. We have no hope of any more but I suppose it's got more money the higher we go. Europa is only hope of getting to cl and fa cup is another route to europa for next year. I'm not even confident of getting 6th frankly.
If Klopp puts out a side that he genuinely thinks can win the game then ok, but if he's more or less abandoning the cup then I'm disappointed. One of the things that annoyed me about Rafa was the fact that he clearly considered domestic cups an inconvenient trifle. I know this divides the fans- younger ones do tend to think of the cup as a secondary consideration and one of the first things to get chucked out of the lifeboat. But as we know, I'm not one of the younger ones. This is the 4th round of the FA Cup and it's against a PL side who have already stuffed us twice this season- I hope we at least try.
I agree. We've a cup final but it does assure us of Europe. Worst case it gives europe to 6th. If we win it we've europa again. If we don't..... well I'd like to bevin 5th round draw. This is a home tie. I don't mind Smith in. I don't mind ilori at rb. I don't mind caulker in. Some of us think Allen's better than the total dross we have sadly. And henderson is out. Teix might even deserve a game.. Benteke is pure class of course But Stewart and brannigan? If we played Mingolet Clyne caulker lovern smith Allen lucas brannigan Ibe benteke teix Well I'd kind of accept it's a side that's prob wise and has half a chance. Sahko is not fit imo Can needs to sit out and think... for more than just cups Henderson is injured Moreno is a liability at times. Firmino is not for me at anywhere but no 9. Lallana is not capable of playing after a 120mins anyway. I think the CMs would be where I'd question this stuff. Anywhere else I'm not seeing us seriously weakening given the 120mins in the week. The reality is anyone who played that game in cm and up front won't cut it v west ham at all.
Teixeira looked a notch above the others in the first game against Exeter. Everyone says he's a bit lightweight for the PL, but I'd at least give him a run out. He's 23 now, and either he needs to make the step up or move on, for the sake of his own career.
west ham will be full strength imo. adrian tomkins collins reid cresswell song kouyate noble payet antonio valencia think that's actually a better side than we can put out
Well they have beaten us easily in the two games we have played against them this season so I am not expecting much, especially as we had our full squad on both occasions, excluding Glassman of course. Apparently he is injured again, or as they are now calling it a "setback" in his recovery.
