Congrats on your cupset lads, can't beat a last minute winner.

Not long back from seeing us throw a two goal lead at Derby but maybe the football gods can give us some extra incentive ;)

Pompey have been drawn at home to Championship side QPR in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup.

The tie will be played at Fratton Park on the weekend of January 25-28.

It will be the first meeting between the sides since both were in the second tier during the 2010/11 campaign.

Liam Lawrence scored from the spot in a 1-1 draw at Fratton Park that season, with the Londoners going on to secure the title.

There have been no previous clashes in the FA Cup, but QPR were 7-2 victors over two legs in a League Cup tie back in 1981.

Pompey's assistant manager said: "It's the first home draw we've had in the competition, which is nice because we've done a lot of travelling lately.

"They're a Championship team who are doing well in their division, which will hopefully bring out the best in us – like it did at Norwich.

"We'll try our best to perform well on the day and get through. We're the underdogs and that can suit us, while also perhaps taking a bit of pressure off.

"Kenny and I have both worked at QPR in the past, so we'll look forward to seeing a few familiar faces again."

Steve McClaren's side are currently sitting ninth in the Championship standings and are just four points outside the play-off places.

While Pompey have already seen off Maidenhead, Rochdale and Norwich, their next opponents have only had one tie to navigate.

But they were handed a tough test against a Leeds side currently top of the same division.

Aramide Oteh's penalty was cancelled out by Aapo Halme, but Jake Bidwell notched the winner to send the Londoners through.

A confirmed date for the contest and ticket information will be released in due course.
