I have no previous knowledge of this, but I do trust in the process of the FA. If it fails me, I will protest. Let folk take their argument away from the game, or expand it and let us face how limiting that will be. I have no problem with either; but football has never needed honesty, leadership and integrity more than now. The players mirror the scruples of the owners - what are you like as a fan?

I don't really know what a quenelle gesture is, but I can think of a gesture I'd like to throw the FA's way . . .

I find organised religion offensive with their demands for special treatment

Who needs organisation? State your pace in life individually - do you support bigotry and emblematic gestures as a means to make a broad-brush statement against someone else's ethnicity? Does every one with a black skin, a hook nose, a certain slant of the eye think the same - do any of you feel so bold we cannot think the same about you? But we wouldn't, why do you.

How many would not realise? Sometimes the truth hides behind sarcasm and witty speak.

I am often of a similar opinion, however being Anti-semetic is more about being discriminatory against a race of people (semetic) rather than the religion of Judaism.

Yeah, all of them. It's just Christianity has already got its demands written into our laws so we don't really notice them as being religious based rules. I'm struggling to see how this is going any way other than into a religious/political discussion though so I'm not going to get into that. I'd rather focus n the fact the punishments seem to be completely random compared to the alleged offences committed.

mmm I wonder who that is? ****ing hell it is that clueless bloody family that own us. Pay back time for the comments made on Radio Humberside and the threat of legal action over the name change.Wouldn't be surprised if half the bloody team are suspended before the end of the season.

I've regularly worked them in the past, along with Boxing Day (I actually quite liked working Boxing Day, it was a nice enough day because pretty much everyone coming in was happy). I won't be this year as none of our clients have booked events for those dates. I'm also still on my university term contract until May, and on that agreement from the start of October til the end of the season I get a 4 day weekend around City home games to let me see family (I've also taken Wembley this year as Im not expecting my other contract to kick in til June anyway). The condition being I make sure I do my uni work on those weekends so I'm available to work the rest if I'm needed. We have the Arsenal game that weekend so it's just a weekend off for me anyway.

Of course it's wonderful on those weekends being able to just go out at any time down to the 24 hour Tesco to do my shopping without worrying that some archaic law preventing trading on a Sunday in order to protect the Church on the Sabbath wasn't relaxed less on bigger shops than smaller ones. And the fact it's taken until this month for the same sex marriages to become legal is nothing to do with them having been illegal activities as they were against the teachings of Christianity or anything like that.

What you call archaic may be good for society. Laws against murder, rape, and robbery are "archaic" too, you know. Somewhere along the line you must find a moral basis for your legal code. Without religion, what is it? Some set of high-minded platitudes which quickly prove arbitrary when tested?
